AutoCrit’s AI Features Are Amazing!

I'm actually using autocrit, and the repeated or overused words / phrases is absolutely incredible. The subscription price is a little steep for just that feature, haven't really played with other features. My only complaint is that there doesn't seem to be a way to ignore a suggestion. It didn't recognize on of my character names and it said "you used this word too much!" I wish there were a way to dismiss that suggestion (a hide/unhide)

Can you add the name to your list of words to ignore? Obviously after you’ve gone through and made sure you have overused it :)

Thanks for referencing that Video in which you created the Story Bible. It didn't make sense to me when I first watched it, but now I can really use it. PS I am in the Ai Writers group and was the one who asked about Building a Series in Novelcrafter. I believe I bought my AutoCrit Lifetime through your link a month or two ago.

Pretty impressive. I bought the lifetime version, although at my age there is no guessing whether that was worth it. (Leaving alone the projected lifetime of Autocrit.) I try to be the customer I want to see in the world, within my means, and this is the kind of innovation I want to see more of.

I use both. Learned to use them from Nerdy Novelist. They are very different. If you are only getting one. I would 100% recommend Novelcrafter. It's a joy to use and as you fill in the Codex it only gets better. Autocrit really shines for me when I have a decent piece of writing and I want to polish it. I brainstorm in Novelcrafter and I generally write in Novelcrafter. Good luck.

Is it advisable use Novelcrafter and Autocrit together? If so, is it better to write the book in Novelcrafter (which I have done before), and then fine tune it in Autocrit? (I have it, but have not used it yet.)

I have a full 54 chapter outline for the fourth book in the Arthur Templar Series. Can that be entered into Autocrit and also into Novelcrafter. The first three were written entirely in Vellum, chapter by chapter, without any use or reference to AI. Yes or No?

This again seems to be very limied in input. 2500 chaaracters only for each topic such as flora and fauna, character, etc. The last detailed, final character description I made for one of the secondary characters in my story, detailing in simple sentences his background, appearance, family, likes, dislikes, etc, ended up being 18700 characters and I was focusing on information and straight forward sentences. The protagonist was even longer. 2500 characters is really not enough to draft a decently complex charcater for a novel. Maybe for a (very) short story? Is Novel Crafter allowing for more information for input?

Is using ai to edit is it considered extensive editing or minor editing (Claude, Autocrit). I am asking because of Amazon KDP.

Minor. Because it doesn’t make the edits, just suggestions. You are still doing the editing.

I also like that he reads it out - it allows me a moment to go through the output as well and I appreciate hearing his take on the prose. If I was rushed for time though, I might amp up the play-back speed
