how was the VR used to get "into" the modelling thats so futuristic and makes CAD surfacing more user friendly...is there a guide for setting up that ?

Hello, We are showing here Alias CreateVR, which is very helpful in the concept design phase. If you need further more information, please have a look here: blogs.autodesk.com/design-studio/2020/10/29/alias-create-vr-new-modeling-workflow/ Now you can also do design in Alias CreateVr using SubDs: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJ7Vq3uIrLtrjck I hope this is helpful. Thanks, Flo

What is the difference between this software and fusion 360 like I want to become an automobile engineer and design cars and it’s parts so what is the best software for it which you guys have please let me know
@AutodeskDesign3 жыл бұрын
Hello, The software that you see in the showreel, are different ones. Alias is a freeform NURBS and SubD modelling tool that is used for creating technical freeform surfaces. In Fusion360 you do more focused on engineering. Alias is much more focused on Industrial and automotive technical surfacing and design and has more options for that. See also an overview of Alias here: www.autodesk.com/products/alias-products/overview?plc=ALSCPT&term=1-YEAR&support=ADVANCED&quantity=1 I hope that is helpful. Thanks, Flo

How was the cfd animation made?
@AutodeskDesign3 жыл бұрын
Hello Martin, we crated the CFD Airstreams in Autodesk CFD. Then I imported the static airstreams via FBX into VRED (set the rainbow texture to UV) and animated some Clippings planes around the static Airstreams, to make it look like its moving. (At the moment we cannot visualize the animated CFD streams how you see them in CFD directly. We can only export a static geometry) I hope this gives you a little clue how we did it. Thanks, Flo

@AutodeskDesign2 жыл бұрын
Hello, it depends on which flavour of the software you need for your projects, and for how long the contract/subscription is. For more details please have a look at the Autodesk webpages on each software. I am starting here with a link for Alias: www.autodesk.com/products/alias-products/overview Thanks, Flo

@AutodeskDesign3 жыл бұрын
Hello, what do you mean? If the CAD software Alias and VRED is sunning on a phone? You cannot run the software on the phone, but you can stream VREDs content to a browser and consume the 3d scene on a phone or tablet. I hope that helps? Thanks, Flo

Hello, no it does not. Its a concept car. Its done by Peter Spriggs and we have used it as a demo dataset to showcase the design workflows. If you want to see more of the car, please have a look here: www.behance.net/gallery/66834157/Aurora-Concept-car :) Thanks, Flo

Is this software available for educational programme of yours
@AutodeskDesign3 жыл бұрын
Hello, the Showreel shows multiple software packages like Alias, Sketchbook, VRED, Maya,... All of them are available as trail versions as well. Just search for the software you want to try out, register and download it. Thanks, Flo

@@AutodeskDesign no what I am asking is that is this software available under educational programme or only trail version and just asking can fusion 360 used to design cars and it’s parts and simulate I am a student I don’t know that’s why I am asking
@AutodeskDesign3 жыл бұрын
Hello, yes you can have all our software as education versions as well. Your question about the workflows and differences between the sofdtware packages is a very extensive topic and not answered easily. For car design, Alias NURBS modelling (Nurbs is used for class A production data) or SUBD modelling for concept creation is heavily used. Or sometimes also Polygonmodelling for concept creation is been used (3dsMax or Maya). Alias is a standard tool for car manufacturer around the world in every design process. For little car concepts, you might be able to create some parts in Fusion using TSplines as well. Which is a similar workflow like with Alias SubDs. Just search on KZbin, for car modelling in Fusion. For engineering parts I would say Fusion is a good choice/start, depending on the complexity of the project. As Alias is not meant for engineering. Only for design (freeform surfaces) For more Fusion questions and for more in-depth Alias or VRED questions, I highly recommend to start conversations in the dedicated forums, as here there are more users around, compared to the comments area of a single YT video. Find here the link to the Forums: knowledge.autodesk.com/community I hope this is a bit helpful. Thanks, Flo
