pu Am trying my new HTC vive goggles but it is lagging big time? my machine GPU is gtx 960. when putting on the VR goggles the PC display shows smooth motion but in V=the goggles its lagging too much. any advice?

Hi, you will need a license of Enscape running inside of Revit. Alongisde this either a HTC VIVE or Oculus RIFT running on a capable machine (laptop or workstation).

would you need both Autodesk Live & Enscape, or is one ok without the other? Autodesk Live has that evolved in the last year to match Enscape

Quality wise, there are some things that Enscape does better and some things that LIVE does better. I feel Enscape has an overall higher quality "rendered" finish whilst perhaps LIVE looks more crisp. LIVE does a really nice job of adding door animations and the like to yours models too which is nice. However, LIVE is still dependant on sending the models to cloud services to produce the output, taking time to do so, where Enscape sits inside of Revit and is almost instant depending on your model. This positions the tool as much more than a design visualisation / rending aid but also a coordination and decision making toolset.

Hi Daniel. This would depend on the model you have and the VR headset you are wanting to use. In this video, we are using a high end Dell Precision 7000 series, with Dual CPU and a Geforce 1080. The graphics card is arguably the most important aspect of performance with VR.
