Is it not necessary to laden the suspension arm before tightening all the arm bolts to torque spec?

Great video but one mistake: fully tighten bolts when wheel is back on a ground or in a driving position. If you tighten them too early bushings will wear off very quick..

Thanks for the clarification. We are sure that your comment will be useful to many of our viewers.

I know this is an old comment but I'm doing this job today and wondered this myself. I don't see how I could get to the bolts while the car is on the ground, could I just jack the knuckle up a bit and then tighten?

Looks easier than it was to change the spark plugs... :)

Fast response time, it's what we need every second counts. Should be possible to change it easier, specialized tools not mandatory.

what's the purpose of spraying wd40 before putting back a bolt? what's the purpose of spraying copper grease on the bolt in the end? thanks
@autodocuk4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment! A copper grease perfectly protects against corrosion and sticking of parts, thereby preventing the threads from acidifying and facilitating dismantling during further replacement. Best Regards, Autodoc team

Only Nissan would make you need to disconnect the droplinks to get the arm off. It's ok when you are not in a rust belt.
@rasmadrak3 жыл бұрын
It looks like it should be possible without doing that, but there's likely a reason for it. :)
@bazasulli49753 жыл бұрын
@@rasmadrak It's the way the subframe is designed. Rather than the 2 bushes on the lower arms sliding into the subframe the left bush bolts onto the side of the subframe. Sadly to get any decent access to the 2 bolts the anti roll bar has to moved up. In a rust belt trying to remove or even disconnect droplinks from the Strut or Roll bar it's self can be almost impossible, meaning both have to be replaced and costing the customer more money and taking more time to do what at best is a pretty simple job.

You can do it without. Just use a pry bar to hold it away to get the socket on
