How would you know if the strut mount needs replaced? Im getting left to right "wobble" at slow speeds (about 15 to 20mph). Springs and hubs seem fine but im told strut mounts on merivas are poor

Incorrect use of the coppatac grease.. lithium for the metal and rubber grease on the rubber parts...

This is a shock absorber bump. AUTODOC

Its what is called a BUMP Stop. When the shock is compressed too far this absorbs the excess and stops the excess travel of the shock and coil from being too compressed.

Some narration wouldn't go amiss here. Is it the strut top that makes that occasional clonking noise at slow speed over crumbling speed bumps. Also getting the wipers off, half hour of wd40 and solvent and a whole lot of wiggling.
