Another great review and overview. I have a 2023 Ford Transit and an entry keypad I need to add to it. One of those 5 button number pads that allows you to enter without a key fob. I was told I need to get a special USB to OBD interface and use Fords Forscan software. Can a unit like this let me program the key pad??

Thank you Richard! Ah yes while the scanner support IMMO access being able to modify a code, add or delete a code/pin will vary from vehicle make to make. And in some extreme cases a dedicated IMMO tool will also be needed (specialty locksmith level functions). Autel does accepts VIN numbers if you want them to check if it will be able to perform the function you need. Cheers!

@@AlexAutoFun hi, yeah that's fine but on their website it seems to say it doesn't have support for any Mitsubishi before 2006 or so. Was hoping if you have time if you can go into it and double check for me please for the older models as we have a lancer evolution 2003.

Hi J! Ah Scanners typically do not drill down to the vehicle model unless connected to the vehicle. That is why the vehicle coverage list only show vehicles makes. However Autel does accepts VIN numbers if you want them to check if it will be able to access the specific function you need in a specific vehicle. Cheers!

Haha! Yeah Autel scanners are typically premium priced but there are more affordable scanners out there, not with the pedigree of Autel but very capable as well if you don't need an Autel. But on the topic of selling, funny you mention this because I have been thinking of potentially posting for sale some of the scanners I have at a discount price to help support the channel, they are all pretty much new and I'm running out of space here Haha! Hi R! Yes the scanner does support programming and coding. However actually being able to program or code a specific component varies from vehicle to vehicle (vehicles have different levels of control, some allow you to access more things than others) Autel does accepts VIN numbers if you want them to check if it will be able to access the specific function you need.
