I have had many many MB vehicles over the years. The cruse control stick that MB used to use was THE BEST solution from any manufacturer, I can’t believe that engineers from MB took a step backwards with wheel controls.

What a gorgeous, but doomed car. When I drove the CLS450 I knew when I hit the first bump that Mercedes phoned it in. A Mercedes is supposed to be indifferent to bumps and/or shrug them all, but the CLS450 I drove crashed over every bump in the road. Car and Driver and especially MT also said that this car didn't drive like a Benz should and/or like shit (MT). I wonder if this has been fixed for the facelift? This car was supposed to drive better than the E-Class, but it drove worse. Doesn't really matter now I guess since this car is about to be cancelled. The AMG GT is where Mercedes put the engineering effort. A shame because this car is so much prettier.

The diference is on the tyres . The ClS comes with run-flat tyres wich have reinforced profile tyres and give some crashy ride/noise over bumps and potholes. So without those tyres the ride is very smooth with airmatic suspension although looses some easy speed feeling every car gets with run flat tyres.

453hp or 435hp? AFAIK it should be the latter...... BTW a note on the instrumentation. Glossy screen in the driver's side display is a big mistake due to glare; also the hooded molding should be made deeper to reduce glare......

The reason is Mercedes' design team is really confident and prideful in their current designs, and believe their idea and plan somehow superceeds the consumer reviews and demands; which is that Mercedes design (CLS' rear, E class facelift and EQS to name the recent worsts) need to go through a change to make things more attractive.
