Very good tips for low consumption! Some of them are really not spoiling fun in driving. Car is also great looking, especially in red and very frugal. Less than four ltrs is really incredible for me.

@lalos you could turn off the whole multimedia system and so less electricity is used... @ufhero ofc you use less fuel if you dont drive a car :D That's a showcase here

I agree with all of the updates except for the engine choices. At this time, the American Passat has three engines (1.8 turbo, 2.0 diesel, 3.6 V6). I understand VW is trying to meet new CAFE standards by putting the new 1.4 turbo in place of the 1.8 turbo. But, this is a HUGE car and it needs more displacement. And Thomas, I agree with your statements that a smaller engine will lead to worse fuel economy in real world testing.

Overall I liked the vehicle, could have some improvements for everyday comfort ,such as shade screen for panoramic roof. The contrast colors i agree dark on dark looks good ,but i did like the red on Black .I was was impressed with fuel consumption over all.To me the interior reminded me of the BMW i3 with MMI setup, clean modern design. Roof rails not sure if needed might help also with fuel consumption at speed. Enjoyed the details and overall impression . Thanks Joe

With low speeds of up to 100km/h even my Toyota Auris Hybrid is getting those numbers easily. Numbers of around 3.4-3.6L/100km.

Well actually the fuel consumption shouldn't really surprise that much due to the low weight of the car. If I'm not mistaken the Cactus is based on the C3's platform which is basically a small car. Nice video as always. Keep it up!

respect Thomas! Who was the lady in Your car? I made many yeares ago a "Spritsparkurs" with ADAC and after I reduced my fuel consumption around 20%. Even with my newest car, the Qashqai 1.2 Xtonic, I am close to NEFC. One important thing to reduce fuel is to check every time the tire pressure .

strange - those wheels are for mid-spec feel on UK cars. flair has 17" - look better but lower-profile tyres hurt the ride a little. by the way - thanks for doing this in English - appreciated!

Thanks Thomas for the consumption review. It's not a bad car at all, hopefully the few birth defects will be fixed by citroën. (quality of fixtures, assembly, the unfractionnable back seats). plastics will remain cheap looking I'm afraid.
