I did the same thing in my life. At first I thought I'm removing uncomfortable criticism. In some cases that's true but in other cases it was the crowd who triggered me. My condition I can control up to some point however I can't deal with some crap just you mention in your comment. Some stuff hurts too much and you can take so much.

I really appreciate the way that you break this all down. I am not a therapist, I have mental health issues and two autoimmune conditions and after 20 plus years, I am finally understanding how these conditions interact and how I can help myself in the long run. Thank you so much for taking the time to break it down for therapists, I know that my therapist is watching these now too.

I always have an elevated white blood cell count without being sick. I don't know what can be causing that. When I experience high stress, I will get body aches. I got tested for auto immune last year but nothing was found. I suspect there's something going on. Dr. Snipes is great at explaining and is very knowledgeable.

dr snipes any connection of iron and mental health?
@DocSnipes
@DocSnipes Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching the video. Yes, there’s a connection. bmcpsychiatry.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12888-020-02621-0 “In conclusion, our study provides epidemiological evidence that IDA may play a role in increasing the risk of psychiatric disorders. In IDA patients, iron supplementation could mitigate the risk of psychiatric disorders. Moreover, patients in the IDA group receiving iron supplementation had a lower risk of sleep disorders. Further study is necessary to explore the severity of IDA and psychiatric symptoms and to clarify the mechanisms in the association between IDA and psychiatric disorders.”

A question or 3 from the point of view of a sufferer (ME!): Will my eczema improve if I get over my ACE induced CPTSD? Will I be stuck in survival mode with an itchy scalp forever? I am 50, will the rest of my life be about managing symptoms or is there hope of overcoming this?
@DocSnipes
@DocSnipes Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching the video. It depends on the cause of your eczema. If it’s cPTSD induced, yes, it will improve. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9760032/

I can tell you i suffer from scalp eczema (sometimes it spreads to my knuckles and my arms)...i had issues with anxiety and depression. Since i reached balance the eczema reduced almost completely (80% if i have to throw a number). I still flare up a bit in the summer. I think you can get significant improvement too if your psychological state gets better. 😊

Good evening or good morning doctor I want to ask you do you know or are you aware of my State's University's program? This program allows more accessible access to lectures given by clinicians and professors. This program is meant to expand the ability for the University to reach further in their educating of our people in this country. So, it uses the platform of KZbin and its new is very very new. If I were you I would look into it because it could really help you reach an even broader audience and especially on an academic level. Which is the most important! Let me know if you're interested and I'll get all the details for you. Cuz I think it would be great to take you as one of my professors at the University during the summer courses. Oh I'm sorry I knew University I'm referring to is ASU

I would advise that instead of using the term "Them" in instructing potential clinicians and clinicians, that we don't refer to the patient as " them". Instead of using the word "them", I think we should use the word patient; a patient who is suffering. To say "them" , is like to say " Over there but not right here, somewhere over there . I know you don't mean it but it's dismissive of the patient to be honest.
@DocSnipes
@DocSnipes Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your request, Phillip. “Patient” is not a preferred word by may professions because it pathologizes. Sadly, we aren't even able to say “he” or “she” anymore, so we have to say “them”. Nowadays people identify as “them”.

@@DocSnipes why I like professors like yourself, professors who have no egos. Because they actually can have a discourse or I guess what i mean is they can put my stupidity aside and really continue to patiently teach him, more than they actually knew or thought they did. I was not remembering the full perspective . I do see now. I like that you highlight the increasingly restrictive nature that medical discorse has becom;, more restrictive over the years. For various political reasons blah. Thank you and I mean it! :) oh and by the way I want to tell you something; I received a Facebook email from someone who follows me. I don't really know that individual but they sent me this long paragraph gushing about how he loves your material and how you've really helped him and his family. Because I often will post like things from you to psychology stuff and Medicine stuff to just pics of my dogs randomly on Facebook or Instagram. And so yeah I just want to let you know you are really making a difference. I'll forward you his comment and you really should see that people are really interested in the knowledge base you have. And you make it that much more fun. Also I don't flatter. GOODNIGHT Mrs. Phillip H.
