well researched by thatcham..automated driving technology would worrk better if there was sensors in the roads and also if smart motorways beamed out information such as lane closed instead of relying on thr car to detect everything

Insanity auto lane keeping is in itself insanity. My car has it and couldn't keep the lane on a new dual carriageway which had new road markings. Then you've got idiots like the bloke with a Tesla who drove hundreds of miles on the auto system and it was driving WAY too fast in poor weather conditions. In fact I'm surprised he wasn't prosecuted.

lane assist absolutely useless and not needed ,nearly crashed car going through roadworks with traffic cones guiding me across white lines .lane assist kicks in to crash car. wont be buying another one of those cars
