Thank you for the well done video. But wait! Cruise autopilot, control with lots of safety features has been available for months. I got my Cybertruck in June and it had working cruise control with all kinds of safety features including lane change assist, auto following distance, whatever that's called. You could even set it to stop at stop signs and red lights automatically if you wanted to. Now, however it has full self driving, like ultimate autopilot. It also has self-parking that works great for parallel parking and spaces you can back into. I've never charged my Cybertruck at a charging station, but rather simply plug it in at home with the cord that comes the the vehicle. I charge it overnight about every 4 days. Charging at a supercharging station is only needed if you can't plug the truck in at home. Regarding the operating cost being the same as an internal combustion vehicle, with the cost of diesel being what it is these days, it is MUCH, MUCH cheaper to operate than my other truck. Not even close. Regarding the rearview mirror, there is an electronic rearview mirror is built into the huge monitor. I would like it better if it was up where the rearview mirror is, but, at least it's there. I'm 6'4" and can sit comfortably in the front or rear seats with plenty of headroom. Yes, the Cybertruck is ugly, it does get finger marks (at lease until you wash it with something like Trtl Wx hybrid ceramic wash and wax), it can't tow a heavy trailer very far (tows 11,000 pound trailer about 100 miles before needing to charge) and yes, it gets hot inside due to all the glass top and the large windshield. But it can easily tow 11,000 pounds with plenty of power, it has adjustable ride height from about 8 inches to like 17 inches in extract mode and it comes with 35 inch tires so it's ready for off road driving, and with all this, it truly drives like a sprots car and it's much faster than it really should be. For the $99,900 price tag, yes it's a lot, but at least you get full self driving, connectivity for life, the tire package, a $2,500 Tesla credit, and a bunch of accessories like two sets of floor mats and such, so, yes, you pay a bit extra, like $4,000 extra plus or minus depending on how you calculate it for the Foundation series. But I did get some things in return, all of which I would have ordered anyway. Regarding being an attention grabber. At least in Miami, that ship has sailed. There are so many Cybertrucks in Miami, nobody even looks at it anymore. So on balance, am I happy with my Cybertruck? Absolutely.

Glad I watched it all! I thought I knew more about the CT than I did. The Fart option is the best on the whole damn truck! Farting was a part of family gatherings in more families than will ever admit it. My Dad gave me a book of farts not long before he passed at 51. I still have it and it gets a laugh from most who see it. It describes farts like The Walking Fart where it is a note with every step. Thanks for those memories!

I had a 77 Dodge Royal Monaco and we'd go to outdoor parties and have 6-9 people sitting on the hood and a few more on the roof and never so much as put a scuff on it. It was a luxurious tank but the 0-60 was around 12 seconds and gas mileage was around 6-9 MPG. It had no crumple zones, pretty poor handling, poor braking, crummy AM/FM radio with one speaker in the dash and one in the back, stopping once or twice on a long road trip to clean the points, alternators & water pumps every 30K miles and most were pretty much done in 100K miles or so (then again, since 2019 many new cars aren't much better)🙂. They emitted as much pollution per car as roughly 100 newer cars combined. My old tank made it to 150K but it was puking oil and overheating all the time (head gasket I believe) and then a rear axle decided to come out and had the tire outside the rear fender since the rear diff was too worn out to keep it in. I donated it to a guy who had one that was wrecked and he needed parts for his. RIP ol' Betsy:-). Don't get me wrong, old cars did ride a lot better than most cars on the road today, and I think the styling was more interesting and distinguishable than today's stuff. I also loved that you could work on it yourself. Part of the reason they all look alike now (except for CT, which is it's own thing) is aerodynamics. To add some interesting design might cost them big with fleet fuel economy standards.

So if you get shot at, you get ventilated. If you go in the water, you're trapped. If you drive through a puddle, the truck totals itself. Very practical vehicle.

Since I don't have to drive to work every day, insurance is less. Car expenses are minimal. I can't afford to buy another car and hope I don't have to, for the rest of my life. EVs are too expensive , outrageous insurance, I would either have to install home charging system,$$,or use public chargers which are unreliable. Homeowners insurance would go up. My agent told me. $$Fire hazards. If I got in a wreck, either unrepairable or too much $$$ to repair Insurance would total it. Insurance goes up. $$$ Worst of all I would by ANY CAR with all that superfluous computerized gadgetry that could fail at any time. $$$ . Besides they are TOO QUIET. Downright creepy. I took my CT money and bought a house in the U.P. Yeah they're expensive. The Whistlin diesel thing was a bit disingenuous. @@common_c3nts Correct. Other trucks are designed differently. Also more unsafe to the occupants. There are plenty of videos of farmers using overloaded and towing too heavy with the CT no problem. The trailer hitch is, in fact, bolted to the frame of the Cybertruck. The problem is that the frame is a casting. Castings are brittle. The shock load delivered to the frame of that Cybertruck in the 'Whistling Diesel' video caused a brittle fracture failure. After seeing what the Germans did in WWII with 50,000 ton forging presses to make aircraft parts, the US government sponsored a few 50,000 ton presses for use by the aerospace industry. Renting time on one of those presses would have cost less than a casting facility and produced a stronger, tougher part.
@otm646
@otm646 3 ай бұрын
You clearly don't work in the metal forming industry. A forging press is absolutely nothing like the aluminum die casting machine both in process or equipment.
@richardbell7678
@richardbell7678 3 ай бұрын
@@otm646 That is my point. They are not similar. Castings are brittle in ways that forgings are not. When 'Whistling Diesel' repeatedly dropped the rear end of an F150 on its trailer hitch, the frame bent, but most of the deformation was undone, in the field, and facilities are readily available to precisely bend truck frames back into the correct shape. You can also weld forgings. I do not know if the frame casting of the Cybertruck can be repaired, but engine blocks and flywheel press slides are metal castings that cannot be welded back together if you manage to break them, so I would be pleasantly surprised to find out that a broken Cybertruck frame can be repaired.
@Abebe345
@Abebe345 3 ай бұрын
@@richardbell7678The F150 has no weight in the back. All the weight is in the engine mostly. The Cybertruck has a heavy battery plus 2 of 3 motors on the rear axles. If WD had loaded the F-150 with 3K ibs it would have been a similar comparison.
@richardbell7678
@richardbell7678 3 ай бұрын
@@Abebe345 No, it would have made the Cybertruck look worse. Either the hitch mounting point would fail, or the transverse frame member that the the hitch is mounted to would fail. With the help of some chains and a big bottle jack, they could force the bent member back to the right shape. They would need welding equipment to re-attach a snapped off hitch, but it is not that big a deal. If the F150 is like the 1983 Ford Ranger, the hitch is on the rear bumper and the rear bumper is bolted to the frame, so the likely result is a pair of broken brackets and some snapped bolts. The repairs would take an afternoon. The Cybertruck is in a world of pain, as you have just called into question the integrity of battery case. Maybe the cast frame can be welded, but the battery case must be checked for damage and certified as safe, before the insurance company will let it back on the road. I hope that that Cybertruck was not written off for damage that would have been easily repairable on a normal truck.

@@richardbell7678 You misread me. I didn't call into question battery case. Maybe is doing heavy lifting here. We'll never know what the F-150 results would be w 3k lbs to be the same weight. But no one has hit the hitch assembly that way while avoiding the tires and sales have been strong. Doesn't look like a scenario people think they'll encounter with the Cybertruck or any other truck (we don't know the results without testing and this is too far out of the norm for buyers). Good to test the limits and the Cybertruck did well other than that 6 foot drop on the hitch with all of the weight.

If the windshield is a plastic of any kind I wonder how the windshield wiper does not scratch it up. Even scratch resistant acrylic and polycarbonate will still scratch. That is the reason all windshields are laminated safety glass instead of a plastic of some kind. Ok, just googled that question and it seems the it is layered with a glass on the outside laminated to a plastic layer inside.

I have one. Say what you want about the looks or function, but most of the "facts" of this video are at least somewhat wrong. They don't say the window is indestructible and they most definitely don't think you should walk on it. The roof is also glass. Which again, nobody tells you to walk on.

The Cyber truck is not the most hated truck. If you was to call it a truck, the problem with the Cyber truck is itself to be a brand new vehicle straight from the manufacturer having defect after defect and let's not get into those defects and look at the other issues that this vehicle is having no handles on it which makes it a death trap. Clearly we see multiple news media outlets around the country posting serious deadly crashes. We're the occupants of such vehicle expire. Very sad. Very sad. We can talk about the windshield. Wiper where the fluid is draining back into the vehicle at the base of your wiper blade where the motor is attached. You get water leaking in body of the truck body panels peeling off or for some of you snow accumulation on the light bar and headlights which gives you zero visibility without your headlights. When I measured the headlights they're 24 in off the ground which if that's how you want to make them that's fine but having them so close to the ground doesn't give you visibility beyond a certain point which most trucks headlights sit higher and allow them to travel further or we can talk about the performance issue when towing. We can actually talk about the battery. I think Elon kind of gypped you guys on your batteries. The battery is a little bit more. Then Mach E but less then the f150 lightening let's talk about how U can only charge the truck at a supercharger or how I tried to charge the truck but before so I had to remove the trailer from the truck or how the tongue weight on the hitch is crap and to much weight can cause it to break ur frame making ur truck useless or the poor performance in snow or sand you guys told me to change the tires so I did and the truck still sucks in the snow and the sand was worse how is it that I can't use my rear view mirror for my trailer because my trailer is on which is understandable but it won't even allow me to connect my camera on my trailer directly to the truck which should show on the screen on the dash. What's behind me like a mirror would? Did anybody see the video where the steer-by wire gave, and both front tires Just went completely different direction rendering the vehicle useless did your tonneau cover get stuck. Mines did or the buttons died Tesla told me it was my fault. I also found out that the reason why our rear wheels slightly pivot or turn is because they messed up the truck by making it too long. So inadvertently he had to add those rear wheels to turn so that the vehicle can turn like the big SUVs do. If you lock your rear wheels and you try to make a u-turn you were overshoot the road with the real wheels. Being able to turn will allow you to turn like a normal pickup truck can so there's no hate when it comes to this truck it wasnt thought out or it was thought out and they just decided to cut corners under the hood I had a loose bolt where it wasn't tightened all the way down. It was sitting up an eighth of an inch how's about your door hinge? Will the arm that tells the vehicle that the door is open or closed? Did your s become real loose like mines did another issue? Tesla told was my fault. I made sure that the hole wasn't stripped and I entered the bolt with loctite on it. Permanent loctite to be exact. You know the red and I could talk about this truck forever. I like the truck. There is no hate. Just has too many problems for about the time I got stuck in the mud I think the tires are just fine. The problem is the vehicle is heavy so once you start spending your tires they just dig you into whatever you're in. Whether it's sand, snow or mud. But I'm not going to complain about the Cyber truck anymore. I'm just tired of it. I'm ready to intentionally slide the pedal forward because I haven't had the issue yet and literally drive it over a ramp and just let it fly off the ramp. That way when the insurance pays it off I don't have to worry about it anymore. Everybody told me to stick with the F-150 but I had to be a hard-headed dumbass. Just talking about the many issues is giving me a headache. I'm going to sleep

I am surprised you don't have the full self driving yet. Maybe you made this video a couple weeks back because It has been out for the cybertruck for over 2 weeks now. The windows are a little stronger than other windows making them more chip and damage resistant but not bullet proof. The cost of the Cybertruck is now sold without the foundation series add on. This just happened in the last week so I am thinking this video is older and a lot of the things you are talking about have been taken care of. Also you said the charging the cybertruck is about the same as an internal combustion engine and that is only true if you are on a road trip and it still tends to be cheaper. For home charging and everyday driving it is about 5 times cheaper than an internal combustion engine. For example to fill up my Toyota Tundra to go 320 miles it costs around $73 to fill up the cybertruck to go 320 miles from home is around $14.

New cars depreciate, they never appreciate. Everyone that bought one expected to lose money when they resell just like any other car. But the main problem for Tesla is Musk got way to political against his own customer's political views. The customer base has been destroyed by Musk getting into politics. So when these first buyers want to sell used, they will find not many people will buy a Tesla anymore. If Musk wanted Tesla to be successful, he would have stayed out of politics completely.
@travisjazzbo3490

First movers on anything understand this. The fact is, Tesla is a very successful EV company that makes money on their cars. No other American car company can come even close to saying that, despite endless anti-Musk articles that always come out with other car companies being 'Tesla Killers". Those that hate Elon Musk hate free speech for whatever reason... You all aren't real Americans who understand how important free speech is in a free society. You lose that, you lose freedoms entirely eventually. He is a true American hero that is revolutionizing everything he touches and if he wasn't an American and he was in some other country doing what he does, we would be in real trouble. You should be thanking God for Elon Musk and what he stands for as America is crumbling with education, with open borders, with no respect for the law, with political persecutions, with our military becoming a laughing stock, and with our last 4 years the world laughing at our POTUS

Hint hint. 98% of truck buyers have no intention of ever using their truck, like a 'truck'. They amounted to 'urban recreational vehicle'(s)'. As you call them. Usually carrying 1-2 people with nothing in the bed at all, and not towing anything. And for the other 1% out of the 2% that do actually do truck things; The cyber truck can do a good enough job. For the limited amount of range they can tow better than a ICE truck, they can still fit a dirt bike in the bed. It's enough of a truck for 99% of people. Even though 98% of those people should not be driving a truck in the first place.

Hard to damage the panels. High performance. It does tow and does well doing so, but like Gas vehicles, it will lose dramatic energy in doing so depending on the load. If you are the type to do TRUCK THINGS all the time, buy an appropriate truck to do that. This is made for those who do truck things on occasion but want to do what most people use trucks for
