Brian. I loved the Govee Strip Light comparison video, as well as your other Home Automation videos. As a long-term Govee Beta-tester and product user, I truly appreciate the work you do to help inform the community. My only comment is that your voice was in mono and sounded far away during the installation segment of your video. I'd like to suggest you consider a stereo wireless microphone setup so that your audio quality is consistent throughout the video for the future. Thank you.

I don't remember exactly the rating on these and each one in the video is different. Great tips. You seems to know alot about ledstripes. I started today;). Can you please give me some input on what type of govee led strip would you use in a bathrooms upper corner, against the ceiling? And also how would you aim the strip? 45 degree against the ceiling. Or 45 degree against the floor. Or flush against the wall? Mounting is no problem for me. I can do every option. Just tips for what you think will look the best. =) Thank you.

It'll depend on what you want the strip to give you! If you're looking for a light source, go with a brighter one. The COB is bright and diffused, so it's nice. And I'd probably 45 degree it down personally

Hi mate, ready to make a move on buying 4 sets of the Pros for various projects in my home. I was wandering if you have any experience with right angle connectors for ceiling mounting. The recessed ceiling boxes are quite tight so the folding technique you used won't work. Theres not alot of info out there about this latest model, everything is recommended for the M1 and rgbic, not rgbic+. Thank you so much, I'm excited
@AutomateYourLife4 ай бұрын
The only advice I can give you is to pay attention to distances. The cut points aren't all ready for connectors like that. Most of the cut points don't have the 4 connectors sitting there. One every 4 or so Otherwise, I'm going to say that it's pretty likely that any connector is going to work as long as it has all the connection points. Things aren't really that different in terms of how the signals travel across. There are 4 "wires", so it's the same as the M1 that way. Just check the width and height of the strip! Everything else should be good

I want to use the COB model on a ceiling - that would require plugging it in to an outlet and then hiding the power cable inside a wall on a distance of around 10 ft - longer than the power cable. Is there a way to safely extend the cable that connects the remote with the light strip?
@AutomateYourLife2 ай бұрын
There are always limits to the length of cable. Chat with an electrician if you're going to get quite long in your extension. I'm sure there's a cable out there that can extend one side of the power cable :) Why not just do an in wall rated power cable?

Have you had a chance to compare these strips with the RGB ones that come with the backlight 3 lite or T2? I would love a comparison! Also, any idea if you could plug these new strips into those old modules (like the module that comes with the backlight 3)?
@AutomateYourLife3 ай бұрын
I haven't compared them directly, but think of the T2 and 3 Lite more like the M1 Light strips. :) And no, you won't be able to plug the new ones into an older controller and have it work right. At least not as far as I know. I haven't tested, but the new LEDs shouldn't work with those.

With the pro light strip 2, or either really, can you " sync " 2 strips together to run effects across both and have it look like 1 effect? Like if you took 2 of the light strips ( either length ) and ran one right to left, and then the other left to right ( basically having them come together at the end to get them as close as possible ) can you use the Govee app to " sync " it to make it appear to run the effects across both strips as if it were 1 BIG strip? I hope I'm explaining myself right/clearly so you get what I'm saying. Like say a red/white Christmas effect, could I get that to run across 2 strips and have it look like it's all running left to right, across all 64 feet of the strips?
