Automatic Breitling Navitimer Homage for $20 | Jaragar F120561 Unboxing and Initial Impressions

I bough another cheap Chinese homage watch. Here is a quick unboxing of Jaragar F120561 its a fully automatic Breitling Navitimer homage from China. I bough mine on gear best for $20 USD (during a flash sale). I believe the regular price is around $30 USD. I'm going to share some of my thought and initial impressions of this watch.

I’ve never understood an E6B calculator bezel. The writing is so small you wouldn’t be able to make calculations very fast with it.

I have 2 similar jaragars, one around 40-42mm case, very similar to this, I like it very much, it has stiff rotor like this one here, I manually wind it once a day and it works. The other Jaragar that I have is almost 50mm like this here, but it is a model with open balance on the front. It has better movement than this here and its rotor is good, winds in 1 direction, but enough to last till next day afternoon on the table, with 1 day wearing. Great review!

OK, I'm pretty blown away that the bezel rotates, and the subdials are functional at that price range. Curious to hear how well it keeps time and how often you have to wind it.

while the bezel does indeed rotate, and the subdials are functional, there are some problems: The markings on the outer bezel don't fit the markings on the inner bezel. The outer is copied from a Breitling navitimer (60 sec chronograph) and the inner is copied from a completely different Breitling Bentley 30-seconds chronograph, making the tachymeter unusable. Also the subdials should be used for chronograph functions, but they are instead used for calendar day/date and a 24h complication. By not having a center seconds chronograph the tachymeter function is rendered useless even though somebody would repaint it with the correct 60sec markings.

for $20 automatic can't really complain, I have 2 one was that one you have, and the black one...swapped bezels (pop off easy, go on easy) contrast looks better...bezel action can be tweaked with a small straight slot screwdriver

Hey, shout out to my friends Oleg & Bond! A great review as always! I also love these cheap Chinese mechanical watches, as they feed my impulse to buy a new watch without spending real money! Getting a watch that looks good & works for the same $20 bucks you'd spend ordering a pizza online seems like a fair trade-off. Unfortunately, when I went to the site, it's now $35, which I can get a Vostok Komandirskie for that, so it's a no go this time. Still, keep up the great work!

Please wear the watch continuously. Don't leave it lying around, the plating will corrode due to humidity. Each time that you take it off, wipe it dry with a clean cloth. It keeps very good time but the plating quality is horrible. I junked mine after wearing it thrice. Had kept it lying around and when I opened the box after a year, it had been destroyed.

Jaragar watches often have sluggish rotors. Just handwind. Can't do that with a Seiko skx

Thx for the info of the chinese cheap watches.i bought a tevise submariner and it works pretty good.althought the power reserve its kinda stiff.but overall its good for a cheap watch.

Seeing these inexpensive Chinese watches I wonder how much big makers' watches actually cost to produce. Yes, they are of much better quality and all, but I don't believe that they cost as much to produce as they would like us believe. It's all about intelligent and seductive adverts - like Breitling's cool pilots, awesome planes and pretty girls. But £2-3k average price for their timepieces? I don't think so. Ir costs them £300 tops to produce one, the rest of it just raising their desirability. ⌚ 🤤

I got one, Get a 100% refund. The movement is a chaos. Timegrapher shows it as 10+ but the power reserve is practically none so stops in middle of the day.

B-Ras585 - Homage is not a fake watch, they don't imitate the name. And for any design, if older than 15 years everybody should be able to make it. About patent, which is real innovation, good for humanity, government protect them for only 15 - 20 years. Watch design, no real innovation, worthless to humanity, no need to protect for a long time. About the Rolex, nothing special to save money to buy it. I used to have one datejust during late 80's to early 90's. It required expensive maintenance quite often. So I sold it and change it into a gold bar which still retain value better than that Rolex. Especially, if you add the maintenance cost you have to pay to keep it running well. Buying many cheap and good quality watches makes life happier. You can change watches according to your dress of the day. You pay less for maintenance, especially the Seiko, Citizen and Vostok, they are maintenance free. And when you got your watches damage or stolen you just laugh and buy a new one.
