Thank you, very helpful. However, for my own sanity - on Reserve side of Auto Transfer Switch, Red and Black should be swapped. Neutral to outer pole, Positive to inner pole? Maybe your switch is different, but all the switches I have seen have the Positive as Left Pole and Neutral as Right Pole on both sides of the switch (N & R).

You are right but in this switch left side is for inverter power and right side is for grid power supply

What is the need of ATS with Inverter? From last 15-20 years auto switch inverters are in the market. Mostly we need ATS when there is another supply from generator.

That is also possible but that is not advisable because there are many safety features in inverter so go with neutral wire out from inverter

If i need to connect the neutral from inverter output, can i connect output neutral to the charging socket of inverter input neutral or i need separate wire to the main board for output neutral

@@MrEngineerss couldnt you just reverse the wires on the auto transfer switch an add a relay an it would run off the inverter til batterys are low then switch to the grid., thats what i want todo...im atempting to run everything off my solar an set it up to switch to grid power when my batteries run low.

Can i have an inverter at home but with manual changeover. Means when grid power is present....the entire home is connected to that. When power fails....i will go and manually flip a MCB switch or something and only then the inverter gives power to the home. Yes i know...when power goes ill have to go and switch on in the dark etc...i have considered all that and found for my use this is best. Because my house has automatic gates....automatic garage shutter.....all stoves are induction...etc....definitely ill have to go for a 5kva inverter. I DONT WANT THAT. I want just a small 24v system and with maybe 2 600w solar panels. Because when power fails....i will reduce all my load items and then go and transfer to inverter. Till then the inverter can be like one of my home appliance...like fridge it will also be running on one side and charging up the batteries until i want to use it. When power fails i only want 2 fans n my computer to run. Else ill have to put a heavy inverter just to accommodate my regular load EVEN when grid power is present.

@@MrEngineerss Sir 2P 1PHASE Auto Transfer Switch: See R side In input Red (phase) and black (output) which is neutral. Same other side black (-ve) input and output is red which is phase (+ve) , I think it is wrong. If it wrong then please contact,
