Thanks for this is educative. But, the generator will not turn off, it will continue running untill it's turned off manually unless it's auto starting single phase generator. It is the gen contactor that will turn off hence cut off supply to the load ..

I agree with you. So how can this be modify this such that a generator can be turned on and off , not continuously running
@Le_vis2549 ай бұрын
@@yakinimudala3559 From my point of view, I do not suggest any modifications to the already existing wiring because I do not see anything wrong with the connections here.. It's only that he didn't mention that the generator should be started and stopped manually though the wiring is just okay..or the modification I would suggest may sound funny: assume the generator has manually operated switch on it, we can alter its wiring and use the stop/ start push buttons from the control panel now- remember this is is not automatic operation still but we shall have reduced the movement to the generator room to manually turn on/off the generator every time we experience mains power outage

Instead of an aux contractor, u can use a duel pole relay

Nice explanation for single phase but please can you indicate also the contactor number

Wonderfully explained, but the way you moved the NCs, created some confusion. I would rather you kept the NCs in their places and moved the wiring (though the NC labels are clear). Thanks.

What if I am using Utility as a secondary source and generator as a primary source? which means the utility will always be on standby and hot and being used as a secondary source.

Do you have a electrical circuit diagram for changeover between Solar and Generator such that Solar is the main source and would change over when batteries reach a threshold level ?

Awesome video. If I wanted to add this ATS for a home running 220v (2-110v legs) with neutral and ground, along with a generator that is running the same, how many input/output would I need on the device?
