NEED FOR ADOPTION OF BMBS
IN FREIGHT STOCK:
In order to overcome the problem faced in conventional bogie breakage, missing components and malfunctioning of SAB. In BMBS fitted wagons, BC is equipped with in built SAB.
In conventional BOXN/BCN wagons due to frequent theft of control rod, main pull Rod, End pull rod & Brake Rigging parts in tripling operation of wagons causing poor brake power in Rakes, resulting Detentions of wagons. In BMBS, wagons these Items are eliminated.
In order to Improve Mechanical efficiency of brake power.
In a Normal Rake of BOXN wagon Fitted with conventional type brake system there was around 18% Brake fading after a trial run of 1000 Km. But In case of BMBS fitted Rakes No brake fading is observed after around 5000 km Trial Run.
Braking distance of conventional Rake of 58 +1 wagons of BOXN is 1350 m. However in BMBS wagons it is 880 m (approx).
In conventional wagons setting of ‘A’ Dimension was a major problem. If any change made in sleeve nuts of E/L device that may create to heavy loss of wagon creating brake binding / wheel skidding. In order to overcome this, BMBS fitted wagons came into field which contains in built slack adjuster.
In case of BMBS system Automatic Load sensing Device is used which Gives 2.2Kg/cm2 Pressure to brake cylinder during empty condition 3.8 Kg/cm2 pressure during loaded for avoiding the above Problems.

as per RDSO rules Only measure empty stroke that is 54+/- 10mm,no load needed

iN S.E.Rly many cases happened in NBOX-HL rakes with APM devices due to occasional failure of brake power in loaded trains. In the middle of the journey Loco Pilot faces poor brake power even after applying the emergency brake .Can you explain about the fact elaborately ,please .

Reasons for poor brake power in BOXNHL BMBS wagons are 1) Failure of SAB function of BMBS cylinder. 2) Leakage in APM reservoir & APM back side connections leakage. 3) Poor APM performance. 4) BOGIE leverage (un even push rods length, bell crank lever deficiency, primary & secondary beams out of alignment) All of the above points may be present / may be only one problem, so if there are 5 to 10 wagons persist in above problems, it causes the total formation of poor brake power.

in empty condition ( 3.8 kg - 2.2 kg = 1.6 kg) pressure goes to reservoir. there is no exit port like DV.

In empty condition the air goes to bc is2.2 kg/ cm2 through APM device.incase empty position 6.6 lit tank is in leak condition . what will happen? Actually in empty condition there is no air in tank .After application air will goes to 6.6 lit tank and after it will goes to BC in application condition.

if leàkage in APM reservoir, there is no effect of application (2.2kg constant), the purpose of APM Reservoir is it allows & fillup ( 3.8 kg -2.2 kg = 1.6kg balance pressure) in empty condition. But don't allow leakages of APM reservoir because of some internal functions of APM disturbed. internal functions of APM operated with the help of 1.6kg balance pressure. Good question, 99% people are don't know this phenomenon 👍

@@srinivasavutapalli Sir please let me know, in case of BOBRN/BTAP/BLC wagons when we apply brakes in empty condition the BC pressure shows 2.2. However, DV is designed to send 3.8 to BC whether it is load/empty condition of the wagon. So in this case where the excess pressure is stored for empty condition.
