The gas solenoid on my Miller Dynasty 200DX operates on 24 volts DC. I installed a relay in parallel with the gas solenoid coil. I use the normally open (NO) contacts of this relay to trigger a variable off-delay relay to operate the pump motor on my water cooler. The water pump runs any time the gas solenoid is on, and continues to run for a set time after the gas solenoid shuts off.

I looked up time delay relays and I can see that yours is a superior approach! By coincidence I am getting away with the post flow gas flow delay for my cooler because I am hobby welder. If I welded all day I am sure the coolant would get hot and an adjustable longer delay would have been advantageous.

Nice solution to a huge pet peeve of mine too. i wish miller would just put an outlet on all their machines.

Can you add the manufacturer and part number for the relay?

While this relay has a 24V DC coil that uses very little current and has enough capacity to handle the less than 6A that my small cooler draws, it is meant to be mounted on a DIN rail and does not have holes for attachment inside the electrical box.
