Can it used a 30 amp spool gun

looks like a great machine. in regards to the spool gun, what are the differences and similarities to regular mig guns? What am I losing versus an actual mig machine?

Billy Roque have to run 4" spools aka 2lbs for steel 1 lb for Aluminum.

I can't figure out why I would choose this Syncrowave 210 over the Multimatic 220: - Similar price. - They both do AC Tig. But Millermatic seems to have the following advantages: - better duty-cycle. - better MIG gun for non-aluminum applications (not a spool gun) - Allows for larger 8" DIA mig spools. - Higher MIG Amp output (230A vs 210A) - lighter in weight - smaller in size I loved my old Syncrowave 200 and am planning on purchasing a replacement. What advantages (if any) does the Syncrowave 210 have over the Multimatic 220?

From what I've noticed on machine specs, the 220 has slightly more mig capabilities(3/8"), but it doesnt do AC pulse. The 210 is slightly better for stick welding(6010 electrodes), and does have AC pulse. The format/layout of the spec sheets is so different they are difficult to compare. Personally I like the 220 better because of the interface and higher MIG capabilities, but if it doesnt have AC pulse thats kind of a bummer.

Thank you for providing the serial number. Unfortunately, this is is an older unit and cannot be upgraded to do MIG welding.

Hi! I'm interest in buying a synchrowave 210. I will mostly do tig stainless with it but I would like to know if its possible to mig weld steel with the spool gun? GMAW, FCAW, FCAW with autoprotected wire? Thanks and sorry for my english i'm from Québec!

Félix Picard Yes, the Syncrowave 210 TIG/MIG complete package (951616) does provide functionality to GMAW. This includes: solid wire steel, 75/25 shielding gas, CO2 shielding gas, stainless steel with Tri-mix gas, aluminum with argon and flux core with self shielded wire. However, it was not designed to weld flux core with a gas. If you have any further questions, please let us know.

ccapehart1980 It's has the MVP plug which you can just spin off and change too my knowledge they give you both plugs.

Thanks for your question, Jim. The only option for MIG welding with the Syncrowave 210 is a spool gun.

Tig Rebel Yes. You are able to use a water circulator/cooler with your Syncrowave 210 if you use the 195380 connector. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Tig Rebel We recommend going with the Coolmate 1 115 VAC, a light-industrial 1-gallon cooler designed for water-cooled torches on power sources rated up to 200 amps. Thanks anyways! the main thing is that I can cool down the torch with a coolmate. Now I did tig with an older model sync 250 years ago and it worked until my hands couldn't work anymore. When I worked in Brooklyn and we got a brand new sync250 it couldn't handle welding 1/8" aluminum for more then 10min. It will shut down and trip the breaker. I hope this doesn't happen to me with the syncrowave 210

What does the Climate do to the Inverter machines since they are all solid state , my welders are in the Garage and pole barn ,their is no climate control such as Heat in winter and A/C in summer their is high humidity durning the rainy seasons what effect will this have on the Inverter machines ? I rdady have two transformer machines that i owned for at least 22 years now with no effect

Thanks for reaching out. Inverters are made with more sensitive electronic components than transformer based machines. Because of the sensitivity of the electronic components used in inverters, the inverter are more sensitive to temperature. You will not and should not expect the same results when storing an inverter outside verses storing a transformer based machine. Thank you.

Hi, Freddy. The Syncrowave 210 requires a 2.8 KW generator when connected to 115V, and a 5.35 KW generator when connected to 230V. The generator size is smaller on 115V because the machine is de-rated where full power cannot be produced. This is the minimum generator size required. We normally recommend a generator 1.5 times the size indicated above.

I like the welder I am in the market looking for ,the tig ,and mig features all in one acdc ,thumbs up ,, But I most likely won't buy this one because of all the pushing buttons on panel to set up different processes and parameters ,To me it would take too much time to adjust power and or wire speed ,having to push a button 2 or 3 times to get to wire speed to make a correction or 2 I like the switches and knobs faster on the fly to make changes,
