It’s funny I’m a fashion designer and our industry was erased by tech and algorithm data about 10 years ago. They don’t need you when they have everyone’s data telling them exactly how what they want. Same will happen to everything else.

I think “a couple of years” is a generous assessment. I am sure Descript is already developing this tech and we’re already losing clients to Descript alone. It’s time to adjust our service / value add messaging, y’all!

I downloaded the trial version yesterday. And I love it! There is only one slight issue: I used 3 cameras. 2 of them where fixed medium-wide angles. The 3rd camera was the one I operated, it was mainly a close-up. I switched between the two speakers. Of course, the plug-in needs each speaker on a separate video track. So, I just duplicated the track and labeled them correctly. But the auto-edit resulted in keeping the fast sweeps / pans. I wish that the plugin allowed gabs, so those parts could be ignored by the plug in. Nesting them would not help. It would give me one long track. But, it would keep the "black" parts, where the gabs are. I think, that in those nested tracks I could add a wide shot, on track V1. On V2, I could have the clips with gabs. But, this may result in fast cuts, here and there. I already mailed a feature request, to allow the gabs. But I don't know how actively they work on these kind of updates, if they respond to feature requests at all. In my case I might be better of just cutting it manually, using a multicam sequence.

Is there a relatively easy way to make these animated subtitles in the beginning inside Premiere pro? Even if I need to buy a plug-in, that's fine. I don't want to have to deal with Descript app or these sketchy phone apps, not to mention the hassle of having to move footage back and forth qnd rendering on my phone.

there is submachine plugin for premiere pro that does basically the same thing, I don't think it looks as good in my opinion though.

Hello. I have a question... Does Premiere have a feature that can automatically do a cut around a point where nothing is happening in the video? Example: I'm filming birds at a bird feeder. The birds fly in and out. And I have to cut to the places where there are no birds at the feeder. I'm doing it in Vegas Pro and I have to do it manually, and when I have like 5 hours of footage, it's pretty tedious. I thought the "Scene Edit Detection" feature would solve this, so I tried it in Premiere and this feature is for something else, if I understand correctly... Thanks for the reply, Pavel Tichý.
@JavierMercedes Жыл бұрын
I don’t think scene edit detection would work for that and I’m not aware of a way to do it automated.

Framing after the fact can be done, though. Just re-frame one clip of one angle. Copy the clip. And select the other clips you want to re-frame, and paste the attributes, with "motion" checked.

So funny to see non-programmers reacting to this "fancy AI tech" - it's actually such simple software and it could've been made with the technology we had 20 years ago.
@clipkut4979 Жыл бұрын
To be honest this saves no time and calling it auto-pod is very much a stretch. You still have to listen to the whole thing to audio edit, find double takes, dead air, filler words, reframe shots, insert graphic assets, music, sfx, find highlights for hook and shorts, timestamps, etc...and while doing it that you might as well live-switch the cameras, pressing those buttons on a multicam clip takes nothing. What they automated is the least time-consuming part of the process. This might be useful for people that really don't want anything edited out and therefore are happy not listening to the podcast and just want the cameras switched. But that's a very rough way to publish something, especially if the recordings are not 99% spot on to begin with.
@ChrisParayno Жыл бұрын
Yup tried it today and realized it's a lot more work to edit down the autopod version, rather than doing a traditional multi-cam.
