For the production rate at 16:20 you don't necessarily have to do the mental gymnastics to calculate percentages. The number per minute field is also editable and you can just type in 2 or 2.5 or however many per minute you need.

love the vid. a trick I've used. when the manufacturer only needs 3 inputs you can use the extra input for more quickwire so instead of mergering down the line you just send two lines into each machine the pick up the extra at the end.

I used smart splitters for rebalancing. Works well to just draw off excess using the smart splitter, then recombine them for the alternative purpose. It also works great for giant oil factories where you just want to get rid of the petrol coke, or burn most of it, and sink the rest.

The beast continues to grow! I think the buses and part highways you build are the key to the whole project looking cool. It's like a circuit board. If a PCB was all components rammed together like Tetris it would just look like random junk but the traces that group and merge and split and organize it into different sections are what give circuit boards the awesome look to me and they do the same for your monstrous build.

An idea when you are completly finished, stop the power on everything, and funnel every item into a crusher(or multiple) and as soon the only existing items that exis are, those in your inventory, and then, turn back the power on, and make a timelapse from above, i think that would look really satisfying

Fun fact: On my first playthrough of Satisfactory, I started in the grassy plains (like most players). When I finally reached Nuclear Stage, the first Uranium node I 'claimed' was the Red Forest Node. (I obviously didn't know that it was the most defended node on the entire map). I simply chose it due to its proximity to my existing aluminum refinement area. Once I fought of the 8+ spiders found around the node (a long and frustrating series of battles indeed), I set up a mk3 miner and run a 1.5+ km belt alll the way to the northern end of the Grassy Plains biome where I refined the Uranium into cells. The cells then travelled all the way to the southern edge of the biome, where my Fuel Rod manufacturer and two nuclear plants waited! I had nooo idea of the caves or the MUCH closer and safer cave node! 😂

Satisfactory intimidates me so much, on surface it IS what i reckon i'd want (tho my closest experience simillar to this type of block building is NMS and Planet Nomads - second of which i am conssiderably worse at and first i am just outright bad, that is in terms of construction). But knowing how lacking i am in well everything i feel i wont be able to cope with even fraction of what Kibbitz showcases. Sure his builds are massive compared to what i guess most would do but still requires much restraint and planning. So good that he dose these videos cause i can not plan but want to enjoy watching the insanity unfold.

The most helpful thing I found while balancing belts is the belt speed. If you slam a 780 into a splitter you can have a mk1 pull 60 off it giving you a 720 and a 60. Or a MK4 pull 450. You can mix and match that with mixers to get really fine control over the output.

The manufacturers certainly look amazing, the way they dwarf the other machines save for, of course, those refineries. Really breaks up the space to have these larger and flatter sections of this sort of thing. I quite like the way the belt balancing sections look and honestly how a lot of the pipework, belt bridges and roads all intersect with one another. Perhaps after all is said and done you could also stack hyper tubes atop the belts, creating a network of fast touch-free transport that perhaps curves independently of the more square formations of the other things, or at least continues on paths other things do not to break up the whole area with something brighter (clear though it may be, it's still bright compared to other things).

It would be a nice addition to the game to integrate something like a flow rate monitor. A Building that you can place on a belt that displays the number of items that pass through it per minute. Im a big fan of DSP (dyson sphere program) where such a building exists. You can also set an alarm when the products/min go over or under a set threshhold, or if a "wrong" item type passes through it.
