I don't think you are accessing the PLC over internet. You are accessing it over a LAN connection only right? correct me if I'm wrong...

You can control PLC from any where but PLC module must need Webserver inbuilt.

It's not possible due to security reasons. It will be accessed from only secured intranet. And with valid credentials.

i think this is not via internet. This is via web browser using LAN connection.

Just check internet IP address of PLC which must be in same subnet with your router IP. Means if router IP is 192.168.7.10 than PLC IP must be in 192.168.7.XX series.

Your PLC IP must be in same subnet with your internet router, if your internet router is in 0 subnet series than you can keep address as 192.168.0.1
