Nordschleife Nürburgring Porsche 997 GT3 RS VS Corvette C6

Guys check out the post of "Karl-Heinz Häb". The corvette is a normal C6 with 436 PS, Z06 bodykit and street tires. The Porsche on the other hand is modified with kw coilovers, semi slicks and all has been very well set up.

That was fun to watch. Even though Porsche seems quicker around the corners and might have gotten a faster lap-time without Corvette being in the way, it is impressive what a C6 1/3 of the price of the GT3RS can still do!

great race between the two. the vette is clearly faster on the straights but the 911 is faster through the corners although the vette driver is taking better lines than the 911 but is not being very brave on the brakes allowing the 911 to make up major ground. also the vette is being slowed a lot by cars in front. the 911 seems very well balanced where as the vette was a little bouncey on the higher speed corners and high speed braking. the 911 from previous comments apparently has a lot done to it and is well set up. the corvette clearly could use some more work such as spoiler, better dampers, tires and some driving lessons lol

Die Corvette ist keine Z06, es ist eine C6 mit Z06 Body Kit und dem serienmäßigen 6,2 Liter LS3 Motor mit 436 PS, Reifen waren normale Dunlop Sportmaxx Straßenreifen montiert.

The Corvette is not a Z06. It´s a LS3 with z06 bodykit, headers and akrapovic exhaust and i don´t know it exactly a KW competition or MSD supension with Dunlop Sportmaxx tires (no slicks).

Do you know if either of these cars have any upgrades because the Porsche GT3RS is a loud car, but at times you can very clearly hear the Corvette, also I think the Porsche has a passenger on board

The porsche absolutely annihilates the Vette in the bends. Finding the best line through a corner is much harder than going fast or accelerating harder on the straits.

du bist der Fahrer oder? ^^ Bin ein absoluter Corvette Fan,..hab aber bei Porsche gearbeitet... Porsche ist definitiv nicht schlecht...muss man nicht drüber reden...aber die Corvette ist überlegen. Selbst wenn der Fahrer mehr zu tun hat weil es n Männerauto ist...ist sie immernoch schneller. Wie auch immer...Manche lassen sich eh net überzeugen von Tatsachen... ^^ Schönen Rennen gefahren! :)

Beide Klasse gefahren. Der Porsche Bremst besser hat höhere Kurvengeschwindigkeiten und liegt deutlich besser und ruhiger der Porsche Fahrer ist Tiefentspannt und weit weg von der Grenze. Ich wette der Corvetten Fahrer war Klitchepatschenass geschwitzt und gibt alles. Die Corvette hat mehr Dampf aber ganz sicher keine Serienleistung´.

corvette has weak brakes, you can see it on video that porsche catch c6 on braking, but on straight line c6 is better ;) i drove c6 ls2 brakes are not very good even on normal road

Die Corvette weist wesentlich bessers Preis - Leistungsverhältnis auf. Beide Fahren ruhig und sauber. Kompliment. Die Corvette ist halb so teuer und fast so schnell. Investiert man 20 bis 30 K Euro in die Corvette hat der Porsche keine Stich mehr.

Agreed, he should've let the Porsche by a couple of times, the GT3 was hold up in the corners by that Slow McDonalds thing in front of him.. (don't get me wrong, i like the Corvette but it has to much torque and it can't steer for shit) Porsche was better (ofcourse it was) although on some points the Porsche had a little trouble with getting Speed (Always was Porsche's down side, not that fast) Overall pretty good Battle between the 2

You are aware this is a 8:30-8:40 time for a full lap, take 20 seconds off because of traffic and lets say 8:10-8:20? Thats slow as shit, and its max. the C6 can do. GT3 RS on the other hand can easily cut almost 1 minute off of that lap time. The pace that Corvette had in this video is slower than almost all European hot hatchbacks with 220-250hp. Megane RS would whoop its hamburger fed ass with half the HP and FWD. And twice the comfort, refinement, quality, safety, luxury, etc. So yanks, stop hyping up the plastic shitbox. The only reason yanks think Corvette is any good is because they've been brainwashed by Chevrolets payed reviews and lap times, and those chevy commercials where they drive the cars on nurburgring, claim its a stock car, but its done with racing fuel, special track modifications with road illegal parts (such as front splitters) and slick track tires.
