That air conditioner is working great considering that Colorado air temperature is only 9°

I've actually found that putting the blower on low to mid setting produces the coldest temperature reading..but good job!
@DriversTherapy
@DriversTherapy 3 жыл бұрын
Interesting! I will have to try that out. Is that for what car though? The official test for every car is to use the max blower setting.
@jimdavidson5208
@jimdavidson5208 Жыл бұрын
Can you explain why? Higher blower speed removes more of the cold thermal energy from the evap.

the air is on the core longer ,so their is more heat transferred to the core , more efficient at the lower speeds , but for testing on the hi blow setting is best. their is much more on this subject and would need a discussion just on these topics. i see auto techs just dont get the training they need which is sad. if you want to really get updated on ac you should check out tom lech s channel it will blow your mind. its stuff we should have known before even working on ac systems. we are always under trained@@DriversTherapy

Good video. Would you not recommend doing a thermometer test whilst driving?
@DriversTherapy
@DriversTherapy 2 ай бұрын
You can but it’s good to have a base line of the system before you cool it using the condenser and air.

Since my mechanic does not work in the workshop, he went to my house to install the compressor, oil and freon and the only thing is that the mechanic does not have the drain and I did not feel that it was colder than before and I put a thermometer to check the temperature and the minimum that it reached is 60 and surely it could be due to the vacuum that did not have it
@DriversTherapy
@DriversTherapy Жыл бұрын
It should be lower for sure. The vacuum process is crucial when doing a proper A/C check or work. Did he have the gauges to check the pressures?

big question did he use a micron gauge on the evac test@@DriversTherapy

Moisture in the system will affect performance and cause corrosion which will shorten life of entire system. If he did not evacuate the system and do a leak test, the job was improperly done. I don't think anyone has a right to take money for a job they are not doing correctly, IMO.

Outside variables. What about them. 100 degrees outside temp. How cold should it be blowing.?
@DriversTherapy
@DriversTherapy 2 жыл бұрын
At those temps, most A/C systems loss some of their efficiency. You will notice that most at short term drives and stop and go traffic. The newer and properly charged system will do better but at those heat levels, most A/C systems are impacted.

what rpm?, if you drive.. does temp drops?
@DriversTherapy
@DriversTherapy Жыл бұрын
Temps should drop right away but should reach maximum level of cooling when driving on the highway due to evaporation and air pulling pulled through the fins of the condenser.
