My mom was way into stained glass and did all kinds of stuff with metal patina. "Black Patina" - can be found at any stained glass outlet - also, I've done a bunch of work with bronze in the form of drum cymbals: Get some Liver of Sulphur - stinks like bottled ass - but if you want to Patina til you puke, that's the stuff. There is also an oxidizing solution that you can use but that requires more surface interaction. Black Patina is just magical. Get some.

Using wraps can be a good thing. Some people just can't paint, so this gives them a great option. Other people want something truly 'unique' (such as gold forged carbon...lol), and a wrap is the only way to achieve that. Other people want a custom design that is either impossible (with certain RC bodies), or incredibly difficult, to do. I'm currently working on a kraken VESLA.5 SBK, with SX5 "Sidewinder" sandrail cage & body...and, for this project, I fall into all 3 'groups', so I'll be using a wrap that has been made completely custom to my specs.
