I just got a 25 RS1. It's great for my commute to work and all 3 kids will fit in a pinch. It's not our main family vehicle. I wanted an inexpensive car and this fits great.

Completely happy with my 1RS same color as this. Only 1k miles. Zero problems. There is no equal for the price. Feel like you're in a $30k+ car. Power is fine. More than my 14 Cruze turbo, spent 113k miles in it. Looks, space, infotainment, NO CVT, cant be beat!

I’m glad to hear that! We also use to have a Cruze turbo! It was a good little car for the 60k miles we kept it.

Great review, I bought the 1RS Nitro yellow color from Hornbeck Chevrolet in Northeast Pa. In April. Just under 4,000 miles later I love it. Compliments from everyone that sees it. One of Car and Driver 10 best new vehicles of the year. Great podcast Great job Chevrolet👏👏👏

I just bought this 2025 1RS car I’m in love with it coming from A 2014 Buick regal only downside is that I wanted to get the 11inch infotainment screen instead of the 8 inch one and also the engine start button instead of the key

I bought a black 2025 1RS model for my daughter who just got her license. It also had a couple equipment upgrades. With dealer incentives and my supplier discount I got it for less than the price of the base model. I think it'll be a great first car for her. The delaer also included a lifetime powertrain warranty so I'm not too concerned about the 3 cylinder engine and whether it'll hold up long term. Considering she will drive it less than prolly 5k miles a year I think it's perfect for the price and what you get. Great review

There is child safety anchors actually. I just bought a 1RS yesterday and had to hook up my childs car seat at the dealer. On the bottom of the back rest of the seats there are 2 little plastic circles indicating the anchors. The little slits in the cloth near the crease where you sit has the anchors, making them super easy and accessible!

I have a 24 Trax 1RS and its a perfect car for a teen driver. We are having some issues with some loud vibrations at around 40MPH and flickering headlights. Trying to get those resolved but will probably purchase a second one for my other teen once the oldest goes to college this fall.

It's a noise canceling system through the radio ... there is a bulletin out that the dealer can look up. They turns ours off ... problem fixed .. headlight issue is the dash sensor

Nice review. It’s a great value until dealers add on useless items like paint protection and nitrogen in the tires, along with the additional dealer markup adjustment.

Good review. My boss has a 2024 Trax. Fairly roomy inside and quite a bit peppy but I would get a Crosstrek over this. I am sure you still prefer your Forester over this.

You know I would pick a Subaru over this lol. But I’m biased because of living in a snowy climate. 🤪🤷♂️

FYI: timing belt service interval is 15 years or 150,000 miles whichever comes first according to the owners manual

I doubt that thing is going to last 5 years without spiting out a cylinder on the interstate

Why does the RS badge mean? Does it mean it’s faster or is it just simply specific trim level?
@AutomotiveAnonymous208Ай бұрын
It stands for Rally Sport. It’s basically just an appearance package on the modern Chevy’s. Thanks for watching!!

The car has a three cylinder with only 137 hp. How long do you think that motor is going to last? no way would I pay over 20 grand for this car.

Thank you ! This is the comment I was looking for. Kind of like driving a lawnmower 😂

Used to be sold in Australia, I think up to 2019. GM pulled out of Australia Think they made in S.Korea. Are these US designed vehicles or Korean?
@AutomotiveAnonymous2084 ай бұрын
That’s a good question and one that I don’t know for certain!

@@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Pretty sure it's a Daewoo designed and made. Daewoo is one of the last few overseas subsidiaries of GM.

Daewoo no longer exist, out of business 2012. It's now called GM Korea!

Hahaha way too many over look the physics/variables I mention for why all my 0-60 tests are very slow lol. Thanks for catching it and not implying that I don’t know how to drive a low horsepower automatic car! 🤪😉
@AutomotiveAnonymous2083 ай бұрын
Thanks for mentioning this and calling it out! I should have done that, but I sometimes get lazy if the TC button is difficult to find AND it’s a lower horsepower car that likely won’t be very influenced by that difference. Especially where some of these economy cars don’t have a very high stall on the torque converter for me to be able to launch it.

Nope, If I needed a small suv, I’d get a Subaru Crosstrek or Mazda CX30, much higher quality, longer lasting vehicles.
