In Florida and especially in Miami car insurance is very expensive. Insurance for the Chevy Trax cost half as much as same 25k KIA, Hyundai, Toyota or Honda. I had seen this feature in KZbin reviews previously, but my salesman did mention and instruct me on how to adjust the screen settings. As I often have researched a vehicle quite a bit, I often now about a lot of these things, but it's great when a salesman/woman does their job thoroughly showing you the features before you drive away. And as many have done, clearly stated that if there are any questions, call or stop by and ask, that's what they're there for. I traded a '23 Ford for my Trax and haven't been disappointed either. The fit and finish are better, interior materials also are better. On top of that, it was thousands less with more features.

My niece bought a 2024 Activ in Cayenne back in Jan and my nephew just got the 2025 2RS in Crimson. They are both in love with their Trax. Awesome cars. The only real update for the 2025 is it is FlexFuel - you can use E85. The 2024 is *not* E85 compatible.
@charkswitlazers6 ай бұрын
Wait really?? In USA models? How is this not advertised anywhere?
@0pelman6 ай бұрын
@@charkswitlazers You mean the E85 capability? It's in the owners manual and I caught it in the Printbook sent to dealers and available online. The E85 is a poor value because mpg usually drops enough to make the fuel cost per mile higher. Sadly, 2025 ended many of the cool colors - the Orange, Bronze, Fountain Blue and the darker Blue Glow. For 2025, there is a dark gray with a greenish tint and Marina Blue - a reboot of the 1967 Chevrolet color of the same name, and it's a bright sky blue with a slight lean toward teal. It's an awesome color in bright sunlight as long as you like blue.

I'm 73 also. But I have a 2012 Jeep Liberty that needs replacing and I cannot believe you still have a 27 year old car that's running? Anyway, you don't know what you're missing and you're feeling sorry for yourself. You think it's been easy for me to keep up with never-ending changing technology over the years? There's been times when I just wanted too stand still. But somehow someway I always managed to gather up some unknown mental energy and too plow forward into the scary unknown. Great video, and I've watched a lot of videos and learned some things from this one after buying my 2025 Activ. One important thing, and I noticed it in this video, is the tire pressures at 48. The car is shipped that way, but it's wrong. Check the driver's door, but I think the pressure is 35 in the front and 32 in the rear. Drives so much better. Dealers just missed it, and I've seen it on other reviews as well. Really affects the drive quality.
@DaveBsellsChevyАй бұрын
Yes, the tires have to be dropped by service dept before delivery. They are overfilled to avoid flat spots while sitting at factory, on ship, etc. Congrats on your new Activ!!
@TexJTDroningАй бұрын
@DaveBsellsChevy Thanks. It's an awesome little vehicle. And a lot of dealers miss that for some reason. Your vehicle wasn't delivered to a customer, but I've seen a few KZbin videos where they missed it. I traded my high mileage 1SS Camaro I bought new in 2016 for it. Other than missing my LT1's 455hp and 6 speed, I love it. Plus, the gas savings and no more Mustangs, ricers, etc, trying to get me to race, which I sometimes couldn't resist. Great little daily, and looks good as well.

You probably were aware already or this vehicle was not equipped with it, but the Ford collision button also plays as the adaptive cruise control distance from the vehicle in front of you. It is really cool. I had the Chevy but traded it for the Buick and found out the adaptive cruise control. Will literally come to a complete halt if traffic stops and then resume what you had cruise control sit on.
@daytonaflyer4 ай бұрын
True, but it's not very good at recognizing stopped vehicles, so don't think it will keep you from running into the back of all vehicles. If you're coming up to a stop light, and you have adaptive cruise control engaged, there's a good chance it will not slow down automatically if a car is stopped in front of you.

Dave I have to disagree about the SOS button being faster for emergency help. You’re better off dialing 911 and getting the local PSAP directly vs hitting that button which connects you to an answering service who then transfers your call to the same PSAP you’d get if you had called 911 yourself in the first place. Just quicker to cut out the middle man. That being said, I will say there are some benefits to it. Their location data is often more accurate than the location data coming from cell phones and they also do have your name and vehicle information if needed for whatever the emergency might be.
