Oh its me again there is one fault, and that is if you leave the vehicle for a few days the small battery that purges the main battery pack goes flat it has to run the alarm system and clock and it goes flat very quickly ive got a way around this i bought a noco jump starter it's fantastic you can't go wrong even if you cross the leads it won't do any harm it can start up to 6 litre petrol engine or a 4 litre diesel engine it a noco gb 50 about £120 or less on Amazon ,it has other features on it as well charge your phone ect ect i couldn't do without it especially in the winter time ,it takes about 2 minutes to start your vehicle with it it so small and compact and really easy to use the charge lasts about 3 months if you don't use it and about 1. hour to charge it from flat a brilliant easy to use car starter s

I love this car I have started looking at one at a Lexus store near me we got an 2010 Toyota Avalon limited but wondering did we make an mistake on it with having issues with it

Yeah i bought a new Lexus rx way back in 2008 it has 248000 miles on it no problems what so ever either a real class act from Lexus,,thanks for a quarter of a million miles trouble free motoring i will be buying a new one when i get to 300000 miles or if it's running ok i just might keep it because it will be worth nothing we will see s

Ours is a 2011 model year… yes it will do 30mpg… but it isn’t slow for sure

Interesting review, thank you. However, its amazing how many people review these cars, comment on ride quality but don't say whether the version they're driving is traditional steel springs, or air suspension equipped; I'd really like someone to review them `back to back' for this aspect? In the UK it seems Air suspension was an option on most trim levels so the only way to know which suspension is fitted is to check each car individually. It provides some variable ride height with a degree of rear lowering to aid loading, slight lift for uneven, unmade tracks, and automatic lowering at motorway speeds. This is not a 4x4 off-roader, there is no prop shaft between front and rear axles, most of the time it runs front wheel drive, with the rear electric motor cutting in only to aid any loss of traction. The reviewer's EV mode was unavailable because there was insufficient battery charge, EV override mode is designed to allow use briefly, for a mile or so, in a city centre. You can plan ahead to have the battery fully charged before reaching a pollution control zone.

US spec RX never got the air suspension and US didn't get the panoramic sunroof until 2016 with the 4th gen. (Some second gen are rumored to be floating around with panoramic sunroofs, despite looking at thousands online for sale over the years I've never seen one)

I hate the joystick control. Joystick is for video games and computers. It's not for a moving vehicle. No voice command either? Really Lexus? Very good SUV but you can't add touch screen and voice activation?

I prefer joystick, as most of is used to it on computers even if you are not gaming, like I don’t. But my English accent is terrible and no voice recognition system can understand 😂 Neither my very English husband as he has Parkinson’s and his speech is slur... but as option, or for later versions I can imagine they would do that.

I have a 2006 toyota highlander hybrid. Similar power system with 363,000 miles.I have the original battery pack. The V6 is strong and doesn't use oil .the RX should last just as long.

The EV button never works for journalists because they run the tiny battery flat. Has to be almost fully charged to work, for a km or so.
