Autonomous EHang eVTOL air-taxi completes test flight in Mecca, ahead of Hajj pilgrimage

A pilotless eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) air-taxi has completed a successful test flight in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, ahead of the annual Hajj pilgrimage to the holy city, which takes place Friday June 14 - Wednesday June 19 in 2024. It is envisaged that such autonomous vehicle solutions could in the future significantly reduce travel and delivery times, accelerating the mobility of pilgrims and goods and improving emergency medical services during Hajj and beyond.
