Autonomous Flight - Made in Germany! Volocopter Explains Autonomous Air Taxis

Autonomous flight in cities is coming very soon - we are working hard to make sure of it!
At Volocopter we have been setting the standard for #UrbanAirMobility since 2011 - with over 1,000 test flights. In the project voloCHRIS, we have been working together to foster #acceptance of #AutonomousAirTaxis by various stakeholders.
Thanks to the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) we worked on a concept with key enablers for safe autonomous flight. Within only 5 months, we implemented a demonstrator comprising key passenger considerations, automated procedures, and safe flight maneuvers, paving the way toward safe autonomous flight.

I hope Volocopter is continuing with development of the ultra light - smaller version (X2). The marked for taxi is huge - but how reliable is air transport in a dense population during really bad weather concitions? I see a bright future for electric vstol Volocopter in many situations. Rescue, farmers, rich people for fun, parachuters, fly training, military. Got to admit the 25 minutes battery time is limiting the operation. But it will find its place because of reliability, price and ease of use. Go go go :)

Eigentlich cool, aber akustische Umweltverschmutzung - sehr weit hörbar, keine Häuser/Bäume, die Schallwellen schlucken. Siehe einzelne "Sport"flugzeuge, die einem in der Natur schon mal den Tag versauen können.

Natürlich sind Sie Deutscher? Sie dürfen sich über die Verwüstung enden, die durch das Spülen von Toiletten nach Mitternacht und auch den fast lärmfreien Klang eines elektrisch angetriebenen Volocopters 100m entfernt verursacht wurde, aber nichts über die Zunahme der Bevölkerungsdichte aus der Unendlichkeit sagen Einwanderung. Dank zynischer Leute hat Deutschland die Führung in der Elektronik wie Displays, Handytechnik und sogar Elektrofahrzeuge verloren. Ein Volocopter in 75m Entfernung ist leiser als ein Hubschrauber in 500m Entfernung. Hoffentlich ist eVTOL nicht der nächste Verlust.
