Excellent demo. I have only ever heard of this test kit before. Have never seen it in action. My brother in law owns a garage and Im not sure if they even have one of these, a must on modern cars. Very well done Jerry, as always !

I like it. It's nice having the compressor and gauges built in. Mine needs shop air. Looks like it comes with a decent assortment of adapters, plugs and caps too. If mine quite I will surely be ordering this one!

Can you test the evap system without going over 2psi? A lot of "experts" are warning that higher pressures will damage components. Also, is the mineral oil safe on components? Thanks for the great demonstration.

You can turn this thing down to almost nothing (no pressure at all) so no worries.

@@LakesideAutobody Unfortunately that is not a pressure regulator, only a flow restrictor, so the pressure will eventually be the same if there is no leak

@@Prot0n Maybe create a little leak in the system you are testing and watch the gauge to make sure it doesn't get too high.

What kind of paint gun would you recommend for a small hobby shop. I have an Astro 4008 that I've had good luck out of but I don't know if replacement parts are avsilable.

That is a good gun - I have the exact one. If you are used to HVLP gravity fed guns, I do like the Sharpe Finex 3000 - You can get any fluid tip size when you order. I bought the 1.8mm as it really dumps some paint and heavy primer. Reasonably priced too. If you really want to stay on a budget, there is nothing wrong with the purple harbor freight gun at $15 - It also throws a lot of paint. Don't get new green gun a HF as the packing nut where the needle goes through is not adjustable with home tools. The purple gun is. If you like using conventional guns, you can't go wrong with another Astro - I really like that gun. I don't want to give you too many choices but if you need more I can suggest more. Jerry

@@joeyhill3698 I don't think so but guns that do have rebuild kits are Devilbiss JGAs and MBCs also Binks model 7s & you can often find them used on Ebay then buy a rebuild kit and you have yourself some of the best spraying USA made guns out there for conventional. The Binks #7 was the king at one time. Could you use that in a air compressor? I have a 3 psi drop per day in my 80 gallon devilbiss air compressor that I can't find. thanks

It might not be a good idea to use it on your aircompressor because the baby oil will cause fish eyes if you are painting

Absolutely - You would find it in minutes. It really could find a leak in any system. Let me know if you find the leak on your compressor - always curious to hear of the cause. Jerry

baby oil - try to get the unscented. I used the scented and it doesn't really smell good as smoke :) - Thant's what the instructions require.
