When the car is driving about 40 mph, & if I want to speed up & pass a another car, or take a steep hill it chokes it makes a chocking sound . It takes a long time for the momentum by the time it's gets up to 70 or 80 mph it's time for me to slow down again I just had the transmission serviced I just had a new alternator put in I don't know what the problem is I have a 2005 X5 BMW thank you for your help I'll be waiting for your answer since you're the best channel for BMWs on KZbin

I have the same issue with my 2011 BMW 750i - transmission malfunction and 4x4 stabilization light came on. Went to the mechanic to get it diagnosed and he told me I have to rebuild the transmission. I’m not a mechanic but I’ve owned many BMW’s before and I doubt that’s the fix. I reset by turning off/on the ignition. I’ve been driving car for almost 3 weeks with no issue. I know eventually issue will reappear. Please advise. Should I rebuild transmission to fix issue or get a second opinion????

HI, I HAVE A 2011 BMW 328i convertible, the 2 codes I am getting on the car is P0335 & P1727 the car take a few seconds to start but will run fine with the codes, stalled in a corner going 5mph once but it will still run. I replaced the CPS using your video, it started but ran real rough for a minute then idled fine for 2 min I turned the car off and tried to start it but now it will not start No codes are present and the RPM is reading fine on my scanner. I watched this video and took apart the entire car again to double check everything was put back correctly and it was. I put my old sensor back in and now the car runs fine with the same 2 original codes P0335, P1727. What do you think is the issue? New sensor wont run with no codes present, Old sensor will run with 2 codes present P0335, P1727

I get the same issue on rare occasions maybe once or twice a month the code is pressure too high, but then it goes away once I reset the car and then it will be fine for a couple weeks I tried getting the turbo to boost, maximal pressure, and the ending no issues but when I drive it normally sometimes it’ll pop up any ideas I want to replace the pressure solenoid, but not sure if that’s what’s causing it since there’s not often

Hi i need help finding out why my 2005 bmw 525i is telling me transmission fault and when i start hitting the gas slowly to start driving it hesitates to go until its around 2000rpm and when im driving slowly it stays around 3000rpm i know the rpms arent suppose to be that high driving at a slow speed also when i put it in drive the car kicks but doesnt when im in reverse or park , the car was fine until i cleaned the air filter box and removed the connection thats on the air filter tube also after i went to autozone for a check engine codes thats when it was really noticeable . There is a connection above the transmission oil pan. Spray some electrical connection on there. It seems water is making your connection bad. I had this issue.

I have a 2010 x5 e70 diesel and every time im at highway speeds and try to speed up it cuts out and says transmission malfunction also when im at regular roads speed and i gun the suv and it cuts out or when im entering the highway, i have changed the alternator , i have 2 batteries, i have done a dpf delete. New ground cables. Just before it malfunctions. The rpm starts to bounce but only at high speeds. I took it to a repair shop witch they only repair bmws and the owner has the same suv like mine and he said that all the transmissions are like this even his bmw and if you change the transmission , in like 3 months you will have the problem again...he said something that the transmissions are made in china and are not good...i went to bmw dealership and they told me that all the e70s have this problem. I tried to drive it in manual on the highway and it still gave me a " transmission malfunction "..what i want to know is that why bmw did not have a fix for this or even a recall because they just replace a bad transmission with a bran new bad transmission..i just take my time speeding up slowly in the slow lane..thats all i can do.

No, the only way to access the sensor is by removing the intake manifold. It’s a extremely poor location for any sensor especially the crankshaft position sensor and starter. Should have been located at front of the engine.

2011- 323i. The transmission stopped working. I pulled up at a traffic light and when the light changed I tried to accelerate and the car would not move. Just before this happened I heard a pop and thought a tire had burst. The car would not go forward or reverse. Had to get the car towed. No warning lights or engine codes and the car was running fine up to the stop light. The problem was an axle shaft had disconnected completely from a recently installed differential.

Check your Battery or IBC ECU on mass pole. Had same issue with old battery if IBC is online - CODE THE BATTERY CHANGE properly, otherwise your car will think that you still have old and it will prevent battery to charge as needed and will block the charging cycles..

Your side rails it's not always the drivetrain the BMW engine has something called side rails check that out I have the X5 but most of the BMW engines are pretty much the same

BMW 09 335i owner here. Car was driving fine for half the day then all of a sudden I get the trans malfunction warning on the center screen. Car starts to lose power I cannot go over 20 mph when I do the car will overheat, the screen console turns off, and windshield wipers turn on. @@coreysergent8581 Yeah, the day all of this happened I was able to make it home driving about 10 mph. In the morning the car was dead. Battery was drained completely. Tried giving it a charge but no luck. Battery was dead. Since the battery was dead I knew it had to be the alternator. If alternator goes then it won't be able to charge the battery. So the alternator was the problem.

Hi, i have a 2009 BMW X5 3.0 with a similar issue. After major flushed engine with new oil and filter replaced. You start the engine and immediately shows up "LOW PRESSURE OIL" and you start test driving. After a 1km or so, the engines shuts down and goes to neutral. After that the engine does not start. X5s are known for having a oil leak with inside of the engine you won't always see oil on the floor but I had to replace my gasket and a gasket cover and it stopped the problem
