What if there's no code related to camshaft sensor? But transmission light pops up snd and car isn't switching gears correctly or staying stock in one gear? Can it be the sensor or i have a bad transmission? Can low oil cause this? I NEED HELP!!!

I have the ZF26hp in my X5 E70 35d and getting these weird fault codes : 4BE8 DDE: Message (transmission data 2, 0x1A2) 4DF3 DDE: Message (torque transmission, 0xB5) 4BE3 DDE: Message (transmission data, 0xBA) I get the transmission fault light (gear symbol with ! in center) on my dashboard. Do you think this might be a TCM fault or maybe connections?

I wanna ask a question but from the looks of it by the other comments yaw don’t respond back buuuuuuut I have a 06 325xi and this happened I changed both camshaft sensors in the front and the problem continues. I disconnected the battery but not the other things u mentioned but then again you only pulled out one camshaft sensor. I changed two which is in front of the belt.

I think it goes on ‘limp mode or safe mode.’ I would check the connection from the gear box and the side of the transmission.

I have a 2004 x3 2.5 engine. The car runs excellent. Gears shift good.. how ever every once in a while the transmission light will come on, and the car will go on limp mode . Then I turn the car off, wait a few seconds.. I start the car again and the light is off.. and is out of limp mode. Any ideas what could be wrong?

had my transmission light come on on my 2000 320 yesterday after a 240kilometer drive. there was no change in the driveability of the car. after arriving home, the light was gone upon restart. In august i took it to the dealer in Kobe, after it went into limp mode with the eml light on, and they told me that the throttle body, EGS module and ASC+T motor was bad. i was kiinda surprised to hear about the EGS problem, as i hadnt detected any tranny problems. I wasnt surprised to hear about the ASC+T motor though, as the light would come on periodically. When it comes on, I hit the motor with a pair of plyers and the light goes out. I just installed a brand new Hella throttle body and the car was running very well. Could this tranny light be the EGS problem that the dealer mentioned?
