Thanks for the video. I'd like to add a few things to hopefully make it easier. 1. Remove the floor mat and pull carpet down. 2. Remove gray hard foam insulation that is up against the firewall. 3. Remove the 3 screws as shown. 4. Here's an important part, if you look at the video at 2:29 you can see a flange on the panel you are removing that is in front of the side panel. If this is the first time replacing this filter that flange will be BEHIND the side panel and this makes it difficult to remove. there is also a big plastic 4 inch hook near the middle that you have to make sure doesn't get caught on anything. You can see this at 2:47. 5. Pull the panel down to gain access to the floor light. Remove this by rotating the whole bulb assembly CCW 1/4 turn. 6. Now pull the panel down on the inboard edge and rotate it from the top to the bottom so that flange will come over the top of the side panel. 7. Again if this is the first time you are replacing the filter there will be a clip on the end, (see 3:00), and there will be one on the opposite end. Remove if necessary. 8. Slide yellowish plastic clip to the left as shown (3:06) and remove filter. 9. Reinstall in opposite order. Hope this helps someone.

Do you know what size the T20 screws are? A previous owner must have lost the correct screws and replaced them with random screws he had on hand. I had to use a different tool for each screw!

Hey guys, you have helped me fix so many things by watching this channel, I absolutely love you guys, thankyou. Wondering if you could help with an issue I’m having? I have a 2012 W204 c250 with Distronic radar, sometimes the cruise control works 100% fine and other times it comes up with an error and won’t work at all. The fix is to turn the car off and then on again and sometimes it will correct the issue and be fine again, it will then work flawlessly for hours on and off until I turn the car off and restart it only to find no distronic again. If the radar was the issue it wouldn’t work full stop yeah? Could it be a software fault or computer fault?

Good video, Thank you for making this. My MB shop quoted $78 parts and labor to do this. I bought a top line Bosch Hepa Filter for $35 and did myself in 30 minutes. Nice tool kit, what brand is it and where can I get one like it?

Mercedes uses a lot of Torx bits. They used a T20 to remove the cover Any major tool store carries Torx bits sets that'll include the screwdriver handle.

Don't be miss led. Just did this and it is not anywhere as easy as suggested. The Mercedes design is terrible. You pretty much have to stand on your head to perform. Hard to find the dash screws, and REALLY difficult to lock the new filter in place. It is well worth $20 to have someone else install you filter. I've done many BMW cabin filter replacements and they took all of 5 minutes. After 2 hours on trying to get the Merc installed, gave up and paid a shop to do it.

Wear the glove and put the pressure on the middle part to slide it in when you reinstall. I got stuck here for a while and that's how I solved it.
