Thank you for your clip. Few Notes: - There is access to the 2 screws behind the bumper's grill from above (although without direct view) and from below after removing the bottom cover. It is better than breaking the fragile grill. - When pulling out the wide clip that holds the bumper on the side with the body, better not to push against the bumper. - And when returning it, first put the pin in the far end and pull it toward you until the clip screw hole is aligned with the bumper hole, only then push it to clip the whole length.

I watched this video a few times before attempting this myself and the entire process was flawless. A few things to note, you don't need to remove the plastic cover on the bottom of the car to access the hidden bolts holding on the bumper, removing both front wheels makes this way easier, and you "need" to buy a special tool to remove the plastic rivets. Overall I would rate this a 4.5/10 difficulty if you're using power tools

Great video guys! After I watched it, I was able to completely remove the front bumper assembly and right headlight to troubleshoot a wiring issue with the right parking lamp. One thing I would add is you probably need a set of Mercedes pry tools for the plastic fasteners in and around the wheel well.

Excellent job, Gentlemen. Very good instructions and follow through. I have a 2006 E350 and the Headlight wire harness needs to be replaced, as all the insulation has dry rotted off, exposing the wires. So my low beams don't work. I bought the wires to replce them, but getting to the harness looks to be a pain.

my friend is having a similar problem, did the lights flicker when they turned on and the would turn off? the running lights and passenger side headlight doesn't work after it flickers. how did you replace the harness?

This is a great video for the headlight assembly removal. I just wish the Auto Repair Guys would monitor the site and respond to the questions asked below. I have similar questions, but no sense ask them if there are no responses.

Hey repair guys. I have a question for u? I have a 02 cl500. I have no readings on my instrument panel. The car came with no fuse diagram. And after pulling cluster out i noticed one bulb missing. However i have no communication with info panel. What do i do? Is it a fuse prob? or bulb?

Also this 02 cl500 has a lag start up. When i turn key to start position, it doesn't do anything then seconds later by leaving key in that start position it cranks up, sumtimes it do sumtimes it don't??. Is this a sign the battery is going bad or starting going out?

You did not show the connecting fastener that you removed from the back of the bottom location on the headlight. Bummer since that is the whole reason I watched the video. I seem to have lost mine and wanted to know what could possibly cover such a large hole in the frame.

Pues si tengo un mercedes clase E del 2006 cdi avantgare W211 y quisiera cambiarle las luces de posición delanteras por unas led que den la luz blanca y un poco más intensa. A la hora de quitarlas he visto que tiene un conector que sale pero cómo se quita la bombilla, hay un tubo que está dentro la bombilla pero está fijo con la bombilla dentro le he puesto otra vez el conector y no se cómo quitar la bombilla en cuestión para cambiarla.

It´s totally unnecessary to remove the black plastic of the bumper. Everything is acessable from below. All you do by this is wasting time and ruin the bumper...

@@cristian50184 not dissing the engine I'm dissing the car itself Your opinion of the engine is debatable, what is your criteria for thinking it's one of the best, probably not the same ad mine and many others. Mine are, it's a car, what's it's purpose. To get me from A to B and back again. My first concideration would be which one will provide the most miles per dollar spent. Then would probably be comfort, most motorcycles will take you farther on a dollars worth of gas but not so good on a rainy day. But if your criteria is more towards trying to make an impression on others your choice would be vastly different.

Yeah everyone has a different opinion but If i don't talk if I dont know , so let me tell you , I'm a Mercedes technician working in all type of Mercedes 7 to 5 Monday to Friday, second I own a 09 e350 w211 platform , of course I work on it like any other car I have so basically that's how I know is one of the best car and engines that Mercedes has like I know anything from 17 -up is garbage.
