Awesome video. Someone please sponsor this guy with unlimited brake cleaner! ~ 1 can/disc.. Love it 😂 Also couldn't help but mention the fact you should adjust the e-brake before putting a new disck back on. The little cylinder can be adjusted using a flat head screwdriver and is located on the bottom of the e-brake assembly.

Make sure yall do exactly what he says. I only had 2 cases of brake cleaner instead of the standard 6 cases he uses. Bad idea. A minuscule drop of grease touched the brake pad (without my knowledge of course) and I ended up driving off a road cliff (think of the road runner) and as I slammed my brakes, nothing happened. I am now dead just ghosting around trying to get brake cleaner written as a Law in which every vehicle has to have at least 383 cans. 384 was just overdoing it. Btw, thanks. Your video saved me a bunch of money and I didn't need the help of a gecko.

I did this same brake job on my 05 F150 yesterday, Previously, I paid a mechanic to do the brake job, and I noticed that the outer brake pad with the spring was on the bottom instead of the top, so basically it was on the wrong side of the truck. Does it matter if the spring was on the bottom? And there was no evidence of any grease in the rubber boots for the slider. THUMBS UP!!!

Excellent vid. A few thoughts on maybe 1% of the video: First, you didn't use threadlocker on the caliper slide pin bolts. I know from factory they use it. Also I'm guessing it doesn't matter since it works for you, but the other vids I've seen on this from Fordtechmakuloco, Chrisfix, etc, say to have the engine ON when pumping brakes at the end. Like I say, this clearly worked for you so it probably doesn't matter, but you noted to have engine off, and they noted to have engine on so just an observation. Lastly, I noticed you had it in neutral at the end. Not sure if that's necessary but you didn't talk about it so it was probably worth an explanation if necessary. 2CarPros said to have it in neutral. Fordtechmakuloco and Chrisfix did not. Thanks! People like you make KZbin great!

I took my truck to Firestone and after returning home the next day the brake light came on, he said bring it back in and they would check it, and that probably the mechanic didn't adjust the emergency brake, does this ring true or is it just a brush off, he also said that maybe the sensors could have gone bad, it's a F-150 4X4 Super Crewcab are they telling me the straight of it. Where are the brake sensors located on the vehicle????

well the one thing I see you doing wrong is you shouldn't push the piston back without opening the bleeder. block off the line and open the bleeder and push the piston back

Agreed! You can ruin the ABS pushing back the rusty fluid from the caliper. While you're at it, may as well put in new fluid, it's cheap insurance.
