Yea, I dont know about 68/69 but 70-72 can fit a 305 without mini tubs. You have to get the rim backspacing spot on though and maybe trim some of the metal from the outer wheel well lip as some are pretty wide.

I fit 295's on the back of my 70 and it's a pretty tight fit. There's maybe a half inch gap from the wheel well lip to the tire. Almost went 305's myself but don't think they would've fit with my wheel backspacing

Speedtech tubular stiffening kit, umi stage 4 handling kit with a da rear coil over as well instead of drop springs. Wilwood 6 front 4 rear with hydroboost, mcleod rst twin disk with hydro conversion all mcleod with 1400 to bearing into a silver sport tkx to 12 bolt posi 373's. I love that he kept the classic look of the car with chrome, body side moldings and paint scheme. And a warmed over BBC under the hood! The build of the car is very close to how I would mod a classic muscle car. The only change I would make would be to ditch the skinny 35 profile tires. They look cool but in a cruiser like this they make the ride too harsh for my tastes. And a Borgeson power steering box would be a perfect mod to tighten up the steering feel.
