Another thing about this bad ass build...The DSE suspension really makes that car stick, but the spoilers on 1st and 2nd gens really help the car stick at speed. My first Camaro was a 1973 Type LT, and had no spoilers...at speed, the car was all over the road without them. If you add the rear only ( cause I broke a couple fronts on parking curbs) it pushes the rear down and the front still catches air. With both, the car really handles noticeably better. JMO.

I auto crossed a 1970 1/2 Z28 from 1982 through 1990 in SCCA B Street Prepared. I never won an event. LT1 powered with the M22 and 4:11 rear end. 1 1/4 front bar, 3/4 rear with 850lb springs up front and an add a leaf in the rear. Lowered 1.5 inches. I used BF Goodrich R-1's and Hoosier tires. My cousin bought a 1985 Corvette Brand New 4+3 with the Z51 suspension and blew me away on his first event by .75 seconds also on R-1's that I gave him. Just sayin that the old muscle cars need updated suspensions to be competitive with what is now available even in the 80's.
