Holy crap, the attention to detail on this car is absolutely ridiculous. The metal work is beyond gorgeous, to use pressed steel to box out the underside of the hood to make it look stock is nothing short of amazing. In 1964 back in NC my friends Dad ordered direct from Ford an actual race ready 64 Ford Custom. 4 door, bench seat, 4 speed, 427 2 4bbl carbs built by Holman Moody. Single traction rear built for the track. We lived 20 miles away from the new Charlotte World 600 speedway. This car could lay rubber for a hundred yards. Hell that’s what excited us 14 year old boys back in those days. Don’t know what they ever did with the car but they were huge race fans. Probably donated it but what an experience to ride in it an a young teen!!!

Old stories like this in the comment section from people who were"there' when these kinds of cars were available right from the dealer are cool to read. I thought after you mentioned your dad buying the car (in NC) you were gonna say he used it from time to time to haul corn squeeze! Holman Moody.
