I was a passenger in one of these when I was 14 and went around the now closed Rockingham Speedway. The sound of the supercharger in this video brings back vivid memories of being absolutely terrified. The same sound around a track. Was my first time in any sort of performance car

I was lucky enough to drive the supercharged version as well. You really notice the lack of power steering and braking assistance coming from a normal car (it's like when you drive a go-kart or single seater). I drove it on track but it must feel absolutely crazy on the road. Definitely one of the most fun cars money can buy.

So insane! Like being shot out of a cannon literally. The closest to that feeling I’ve had is riding in a supercharged dune buggy which is a bit heavier but very similar power to weight ratio but nothing near the fine tuning of this machine! They also made only a couple hundred v8 500hp Ariel atoms which I can’t even imagine how that ride must feel!!!!! But They’re obviously strictly for the track. Being that the freakin autobahn was wonderfully designed for High speed I wish it was allowed to top out on there and video taped with GoPros that would be some video too! Either way awesome video man!

While nowhere near an Ariel Atom, when I first drove my Fiesta ST after pootling about in Honda Civics and a Kia Rio5 for the longest time, that first time I got onto the highway and let it rip, when the turbo on the ST spools up and just launches you to the horizon.... I have to admit, once I got out of the gas and into a cruising gear, I did that exact same wheel pat and "HOOOOOLY SHIT!" :O The "good LORD you are a fun little car!" pat XD
