I think this car might be the actual PERFECT BMW cocktail. The greatest naturally aspirated engine they ever put in a production car in arguably the perfect chassis in the E46 M3 with the best gearbox for the job. And to top it all off, just done in such an OEM feeling way. Seriously incredible.

Still an awesome engine for a more "mainstream" sports saloon.

The way this thing picks up from 200 makes it seem like it has more than 500hp. I guess it's a combination of body weight and lighter flywheel and the CF driveshaft etc. Amazing build.

@@jackdoe3889 It's an 8.4L V10 making 640 horsepower, and weighing in at 650 pounds dry weight. Plenty of enough oomph to make this not a problem, besides maybe F/R weight ratios, but it's a Saab 9-3, so who cares. Mean to be be dangerous. Besides, slap some turbo's on it, and they make well into 3000HP on a built motor, and sniff 1000hp with stock blocks.

@@mmmdawe It really is when you fix the rod bearings. A v10 is just so nice in a bmw. Sadly they dont make any anymore, but a v10 with a 9000 rpm redline is just truly wonderful. Especially with how good bmws are at handling, all that power is put to good use.

I used to own the E63 M6 and it was probably one of the most exciting cars I have ever owned, or, driven. However, the engine problems were a nightmare especially after my warranty expired, I hope he has better luck with his V10 because that has to be the supreme BMW!

Hartge H5 has V12 M70 engine into E34 5 series, Hartge H50 has V10 into E92 3 series. 850 already had V12, so i do not understand which kind of swap you would like to do :P
