Cayenne owner here. PCM and Porsche Connect online services are by far the worst in the planet. Constant reboots, connectivity issues, glitches, race conditions, OMFG. I have an Audi too and although they're using the same software under the hood Audi's version way more stable and connectivity rarely disappoints you. Porsches are also very expensive to repair and most of us the owners are finding ourselves in the well-known forum, Rennlist, just in order to figure out the issues letting alone paying the P-tax. No Porsche should be driven without warranty, and this one will desperately need that as well. And the quality is way inferior compared to E3.1, our seat buttons are chrome-plated, this one is similar to Audi Q8. Why would you pay P-tax if you're getting something similar to Q8? Cost cutting is insane.

Why do the tire pressure indicators light up at higher speeds?
@imBugra7 күн бұрын
Porsche has two four settings for tyre pressures. It's a combination of (full load/partial load) vs. (comfort pressure/regular pressure). My Cayenne has 22" wheels and partial load with comfort pressure is 36psi-39psi front and rear. Comfort pressure limits are market dependent. UKDM comfort pressure limits the speed at 260km/h. Regular, full load pressure would be 45psi-48psi. These are 20C, cold tyre pressures. Every 4C adds 1 psi more. Pirelli and Michelin are producing tyres with N0 homologation for Porsche cars. They're limited to 50psi. So the question is, let's say you're driving it in Greece or Italy, hot weather around 40C, on warm tarmac. PCM suggests the correct pressures to you, supposedly. It suggested me to do 56psi for the rears this summer. Complete non-sense. Underinflation would tyres to blow out, these things are heavy. With less sidewall, heat dissipation becomes more of an issue. Tyres and pressures, and PCM are the only things I regret on my Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid.

I have one of these on order, so this video was enjoyable to see. Shame about the fake engine noises, but I guess with the exhaust being so quiet now, something is needed for a little feedback. I have the previous Turbo S e-hybrid. Not a better daily four-door, four-seater car.

Thinking about buying this car. How was the reliability of your last Turbo S e-hybrid?
@Spenny9095 күн бұрын
@gordongraham2817 You ask at a coincidental time. It has been perfect. It is mindblowing to drive. Extremely smooth and comfortable at slow speeds, and when a windy road allows, it can be pushed for more exciting drives. I can imagine people saying that it is a little emotionless to drive. That is because it combines effortless, luxury, and masses of capability; it is always within its comfort zone. You have to compare it side by side with other cars to appreciate it. I drove 100 miles in the Panamera to test drive a DB12. The Aston had an amazing interior but the drive was mute in comparison with the Panamera. Driving back home, I realised how nice is the steering feel, and the response of the engine. I have a Ferrari FF, and thought the Panamera was the lesser car. Now I realise I have the two best four seaters. For reliability, perfect. The only issue is it seems the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres are extremely soft and wear very, very quickly. You have to use N-marked tyres for warranty sakes. I'll investigate Continentals for the next tyre. At this moment, the car is with Porsche to investigate an engine rumble at idle. I think when the battery is depleted, the car wants to use the engine to stop start but cannot. Nothing that I am concerned about. We use the Cayenne Turbo S e-hybrid, the same powertrain, for European tours, and it is 100% dependable. It is up snowy mountains to flooded roads and just works. I don't need to baby it like a Ferrari.
@gordongraham28175 күн бұрын
@@Spenny909 Thanks! I've driven the Ferarri FF, that's a great car. I'm considering getting a 972 Turbo S or a Cayenne Turbo GT, can't decide which one to get. Love how the new Panamera Turbo S looks and drives, and can be fully electric too, but don't want it at the shop with problems all the time. Will probably get the Panamera because I like the lower seating position more, and it feels and drives like a 992 in that aspect. But the Turbo GT looks great too, especially in PTS trim. Will be a hard decision. Thoughts?
@Spenny9095 күн бұрын
@gordongraham2817 Porsche came back to me. I need to change the spark plugs. I often say the service interval of 2 years is too long. I viewed a Cayenne Turbo GT last week. They look amazing. Slightly smaller boot and one less seat in the back versus a Turbo S, which is why I don't have one. The 5-seater Cayenne is for holidays around the continent and I don't want to compromise on space. The Turbo GT handles slightly better than the Turbo S, but you can feel the ride height. No matter how well it sticks to a corner, it is that shift in body weight in the seat that gives away what you are driving. If you want a sporty feel, the ride height is very important and I would say go for the Panamera. The Cayenne Turbo GT would be a lot of fun, but if you had the two cars, it would be the Panamera that you take on those nice long drives. The Cayenne wins for all-round utility, being able to shrug off holes, hills, water, and snow, while still being enjoyable to drive. The space inside the Panamera and the Turbo GT is about the same. There will be more grunt and exhaust noise with the latter.
