This car is for the people who actually doesn't want usual AMG V8 sound. I am one of them, but the problem is, most AMG fans don't like it, and the ones who like it are probably not AMG fans. If the engine revs over 8k like a Ferrari turbo V8 or a Mclaren it would have helped but unfortunately it doesn't.

I said this before elsewhere..but this is one of the few cars that actually sound bad. What I mean by that is that the sound is not simply “not good.” The sound is actually very unpleasant to hear and deters me from liking this car because of how bad it sounds. It truly sound absolutely awful despite having outrageous performance.

@@ImBarryScottCSS well the boot is carbon fibre for a start, carbon fibre has a high tensile strength of 500ksi of force as an average and can be much higher depending on the process to develop, given that AMG have at least made an average carbon fibre boot (not including extended processes for more strength) the boot should technically withstand 35153.48kg of force/cm². If it was standard steel there may be a chance of the rear deck collapsing depending on thickness of overall construction.

I'm a little late, but I'll comment anyway. When the Manthey Racing Kit for the GT2RS was released, many people said that the price for the rear wing was a bit high. The reason for the price is that the original wing is mounted on the sides of the hood. The new one would generate so much more downforce that it would dent the hood. So they not only had to design a new wing, but also the hood and the screw points for the larger wing so that it can be screwed directly to the body

The flat plane crank is what makes the sound so different over other amg's. A flat plane crank allows an engine to rev much higher due to lack of counterweights, in turn this allows for more power more easily. Ferrari and McLaren also use flat plane cranks.

Yes. I can understand all the environmental arguments. But for me it is the combustion engine that puts a car into life, gives it soul and personality and make it become more than just a vehicle that can transport someone from A to B. @@S3Mi87 but that sound does not translate to performance, they are some of the fastest cars(McLaren) in their class anyway. so i do love sound, i have a 454 Chevy, 460 Ford big block in a F100,old C63,M3 V8, and had driven a few McLarens too, including Ferrari 488. but, everyone has to remember, due to Ferrari being a smaller car manufacturer, in numbers of cars made and sold, they have a relaxed EU law that allows their cars to be louder too. so Mercedes Benz, is not that car company. and this is one the reason they had to develop the Black Series and all future AMG's to be quieter. it has never been their fault, and often their cars exceed the current regulations, opting to be ready for the next set of tougher laws. this is fact. so yes they quieter, but they also doing it so they do not get fined or reprimanded by the f....king EU. but what these cars lack in sound, it makes up for what i prefer, outright performance. also lower profile around the cops.

I really like your POV reviews, but your constant speed violations on german streets are annoying mate. Going 160kph in a 100kph zone and displaying it on YT is not cool. It's giving bad credits to people loving this cars. Go for 300kph - just take in mind legel speed limits where they were put up, otherwise we all have to go 100kph like you guys in the Netherlands...
