I have an R56 Mini Cooper S from 2013 and it's actually a pretty good car, because it's small enough for the city, but you can still take it on trips.👌 The only problem I've had is that my engine started burning oil in September 2017, so I took it to Mini and they said that it needs a new engine, so they replaced it which cost 10 000 euro but thankfully it was still under warranty. 😅

From Mini owner.....if you have your vehicle serviced at a dealer it will perform great all Times! If turbo when you park let it run an extra Two minutes for proper lube.....esp, coming off high way You purchased a unique car.....not everyone knows these cars...........but they’re great........Quick!

Im a huge Mini Fan since my 15th Birthday, so Clearly my First car had to be a Mini. In december 19‘ i was able to pick up my first cooper with the John Cooper works Design on the in and the outside. Yeah i'm sure that's something wrong with it bcz i also have a 2011 clubby S with n18 engine with a lot of parts from the JCW and it goes to 240 easy and a lot faster that this original JCW! Maybe the N18 is the diference? idk... but that interior with dash leather and recaro seats are awesome!! wish that mine had it!

Maybe it needs a software update, i know someone who had a bmw 1 series, after the software update it pulled it bit better and he got a lot better Mileage out of it

I have a 2013 n18 cooper S (r56 hatch). When i was on autobahn it pulled super strong and i hit 244km/h. I think it had a tiny bit more in it too. As this is a jcw in the vid i defo think its not at 100% engine health.

It’s better without the JCW badges. I always prefer a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I have a 6 day old F56 Cooper S. it was registered last Monday and the day after, the U.K. was put on lockdown due to the Coronavirus. I would like an R55 clubman as a second car. I would take out the rear seats and keep it for taking my dogs to better places for a run.

i got the exact same interior, with the black restcounter and all, the same steering wheel, it's not jcw, its just that model, the only thing that changes is the seats, leather and alcantara, i got a mini countryman one d from 2015 and i got the same, one thing that i dont have also is nav screen, but for the rest is the same

I realise this was 2 years ago, so you may no longer have the car. I saw someone questioning your Clubman, and suggesting it was a Cooper S with JCW packs. Did you ever investigate the spec? I had a 2010 R55 JCW, which had the same bumpers and sideskirts complete with the grills. By 2012 in the UK they had plain side skirts, which I assumed was at the same time as the facelift, black interior etc, but before they got the N18s. I'd also have expected your steering wheel to be half leather, half alcantara. Mine had that much dirt from previous owners I could have extracted DNA and cloned them. Cracking car anyway, and got me looking at Autotrader again last night.

Hoi Martijn, I understand your disappointment. Unfortunately, you've got some things mixed up. Your new clubby is a R55 MCS with a full JCW package. That is different than a real R55 JCW. Appart from the difference in HP and Torque, there are some technical differences between the two, on the engine side and exterior wise. The version you have should have 197 Bhp with around 256Nm while a factory JCW sports the numbers you quote ( 211Bhp and 280Nm). You can spot the difference on the sills. Your car has vents near the gearwheels while a factory JCW does not have that. Also a Factory JCW does have an LSD and has (different) Dynamic Traction Control which has three modes instead of two. Also the factory has different pistons and an even sportier ecu. Also the airbag is different but I don't know how. Finally, the badging you are missing is there, instead of where you would expect the Cooper S badge on the back and the steering wheel has a JCW badge as well. Wondering why I know this? Well, like you, I've bought myself a R55 JCW last week! The beautiful chilli red one shown on the Forum :-). Greetings!
