My 2023 Nissan Ariya Evolve+ FWD consistently gets me 310-330 miles of range on a 95% charge. EPA is 289 miles. My driving is based on 75% city and 25% Hwy driving. It drives buttersmooth and super quiet cabin. It currently has almost 19K miles. Highly recommend! I am in the process of buying another one for my father.😊

I talked to my neighbor across from me this morning . He has a 2022 Model Y Performance. I was shocked when he told me he gets a little over 200 miles (about 220 miles) on a full charge. I asked him again because that does not seem right. He confirmed his Model Y Performance is in the low 200 since day one.

I think the range depends on the individual driver's habits etc. I really appreciate your input. I m currently checking yours out right now. When othr mfgs "get on the band wagon" public wil hav mor to select from causing competitive pricing. Really feel they r charging 2x amt they should b right now. About to take a test drive. Finding out they need their own circuit breaker so this is going to b expensive 😮.

We sold our Tesla Model Y (Austin Build) and picked up a used 2023 Evolve+ AWD. The Nissan is much better in overall build quality, cabin quietness, amenities, real door handles that don't freeze and I could go on. The largest change is the fact it charges faster and delivers very close to the advertised range vs my Tesla which was never even close. Tesla recently reduced their advertised range to address these issues. On the highway we get 214 miles from 97% - 24%! Charging is not about the peak advertised numbers but how long it holds to those high numbers. The Tesla would peak at 240kw and then rapidly drop and hover in the low 70s, dipping to the 40s before 80%. The Nissan on the other hand sits steady like a rock around 90kw after peaking around 125kw. This is a massively underrated vehicle.

This is a good start and is competitive at the right price. It’s got some things other EV’s don’t have like the sunroof that opens, normal door handles, real leather seats, most of the basic controls you want. Nissan needs to increase the charging speed and range to be more competitive. They should also change the powered central console to a manual version like the Ioniq 5 to give it more storage. When I look for the color and trim combination I don’t ever see it available whereas I can find it for the Ioniq 5 at the local dealers all the time, so they seem to be making a lot more of them. Right now the Ariya seems like a good lease deal if you are not particularly about getting the top trim. They really need to do an update as the Ariya came out late and was already behind the competition. On top of this it started out too expensive. However, I think it wouldn’t take much to bring it to the top of the list for a lot of people as the core car is very good.

Remember these 3 letters PDM. If your nissan EV has any issues. Service department charges 1,600 minimum to diagnostic. My leaf was totalled because of a sensor.

My nissan altima has gotten up to 700 miles per fill up. Electric range sux period! Didn't cost me nearly 50k either. I don't understand the hype behind EVs I feel all are a downgrade or just overly expensive.

Let's be fair here - no one has ever claimed an EV has better range than a gas/petrol vehicle. It probably won't for a very long time. Ev's however beat gas driver cars in certain areas. Because they are only driven by electricity you have an instant reaction when pressing the pedal, the delay isn't noticable. I recently got my licence and our car was a nissan leaf while the car that the instructor used was a volvo and man was it easier controlling the leaf. When you press the pedal there is no noticable delay, the car can go between any speed without it feeling like its ''gearing''. Software although not as good as a phone usually tops gas cars. One pedal driving due to regenerative breaking. Im not sure if its due to it being only electricity based but EV's are more futuristic in terms of charging other devices, button presses for mechanical functions in the cars. Yes they cost more to have battery related repairs done but they all offer a 8-10yrs battery warranty and if the only thing I have to pay for in my car is cheap electricity and tires for 10 years the money ive saved will essentially net me a new car in savings within the first 6-7 yrs. Lastly the price difference of driving is insane in comparison. Yes the tires get worn out quicker cause they are heavier but after having a leaf for almost two years charging it at home for now has cost us less than 50 euro TOTAL. If you plan on taking on 400km+ trips in the winter or regularly 500km+ then it would be stupid to buy an EV but i highly doubt thats relevant for most people. Most EV's can charge from 10% to 80% in 30-50 minutes. Thats enough for a toilet, coffe break or shop run that doesn't require much actual time of ONLY waiting for it to charge.

@adelkayani2595 If you enjoy your EV that's fine. But this law of forcing manufacturers to sell nothing but EVs after 2030 is dumb in my opinion. If you are OK with spending money on a new battery every 5 or 6 years that's fine but I personally like my cars to go without major repairs for 15 years lol. $3000 in gas over a 5 year life span does not pay for a $6000 to $7000 battery replacement over a five year lifespan. Even if batteries lived up to 7 years without any problems it still would not justify its price even with oil changes because I would still be ahead by $2000 dollars giver take. You take the $4000 I saved over 14 years and I could easily buy me a new transmission which could get me aner 15 years. Look I know battery replacements will get cheaper at some point and when they do it will become a more reliable way to do things but I'm waiting for technology to catch up so I don't have to downgrade my expectations on what I want out of a car like.. range and wait time and waiting for the grid to be upgraded enough to handle such a task because currently it isn't upgraded enough to handle everyone having EVs

@@Rolfthewild You dont spend money on a new battery every 5-6 years. The warranty covers for 8-10. If its under performing or has other issues that is fixed free of charge - so thats not an argument. average american spent 2000$ in gas. lets say the average is 1500 - thats 12.000$ in 8 years (which lets face it if you do drive even more that number will probably be higher) so no, there is actually no argument for pricing. it is cheaper to run an electric car. There are also more parts that can stop working in an ice vehicle but as I mentioned in my first comment - There are areas an ice vehicle wins, which is why some people do not want to swap and I dont think most of those arguments are bad - pricing however is one of them.
@Rolfthewild3 ай бұрын
@adelkayani2595 Well I am not everybody. My gas needs are $50 a month that's $3000 for 5 years Conservatively of course. Anyway other factors I did not include are obviously insurance on the new car and a premium interest rate on a loan I would hate to go back into. Electric cars have transmissions just like the gas car does and if the battery happens to go out outside the warranty that still outprices my gas and oil spending. While there is not as many moving parts in an electric transmission it can easily be just as expensive to work on one. Ideally it comes to nearly a tie if I was to replace my motor but of course what I have left out is how expensive it is to charge an electric vehicle. And the answer is.. around $50 a month.
@adelkayani25953 ай бұрын
@@Rolfthewild Yeah so then an Ev just isn't relevant for you and thats completely fine. Your original comment was "I feel all evs are a downgrade or overly expensive" "I dont understand the hype". Neither do I agree that ALL cars by 2030 should be evs. There isnt a network for it in most places Ev's are priced similarly (unless you buy a super entry level ice car but you can get a kia, nissan or mercedes electric for under 10k aswell) They have more gadgets one pedal driving no delay in pedal can be charged at home Are cheaper to maintain whether we are talking service or fuel (statistics dont lie however you want to argue that) Do they have more range? no can they be filled up ready to go within minutes? no can you bring an extra "tank" of battery with you? no Obviously to each their own. Especially if you know how to swap parts in a car yourself.
