Correct the Infiniti did have mechanical back up for its drive by wire system. Whereas the Cybertruck is truly a full drive by wire system with no mechanical back up. The Tesla uses redundant motors and sensors for its back up.

Only thing that a makes an electric vehicle more suitable for an apocalypse is that you don't need to have gas to run it. If you can manage some solar panels you can live with it for ever. That's why the cyber truck is better option here. Otherwise you will need to find gas stations in the forests.

It's gone downhill so much that I had a coworker who had a Model 3 and wanted to upgrade to a Model Y for the space; however, because of how much Model Y owners complained about poor workmanship, panel gaps, etc he chose to stick with his Model 3 since it didn't have any issues. Fortunately, a lot more manufacturers are getting into the EV space. I'm currently shopping for a non-Tesla EV since I can't trust Tesla with all of the issues I've seen my friends deal with.

Q50 had a mechanical clutch to engage the steering column if there was a failure.... Cool trick but the Cybertruck is balls to the wall, no linkage whatsoever, so Elon is right again... They are the first to implement true steer by wire. Sorry. And a 6.2L GM engine on a conventional frame it's boring AF. Where you going to find fuel in the apocalypse anyway?

And the same stupidity again. There were two instances, neither dangerous (break overrides the accelerator), and it's already been fixed on all cars. Meanwhile the Toyota RAV4 had a similar issue a long time ago, and in that case like 50 people died, and it took a long time to recall and fix them. It was a big scandal back then.

is there any regulations for safety of the pedestrians in usa , because tesla would not be able to produce it in europe , if that thing hits someone it will cut him like a knife , tesla truck its a dangerous hazard for pedestrians and also for kids and users , it will literaly cut your fingers with the front trunk closing and also with its doors , this shows that teslas are build for show but not real enginiering in mind for safety

You clearly talking about the presafe-systems , im talking about body impact in case someone gets hit , also the windows will cut fingers closing , and trunk and door can cut fingers , i would never feel safe for my kids around a truck like that .

@@sa34w they are safer , and no one uses plates of steel in front , in this case all the front is bullet proof steel bro , ferraris are tested about this and the bonet has to be soft , even carbon fiber is thin so it bends or crushes under load
