As an owner of a standard Ioniq 5 awd (320bhp) i will say i have never wanted a car in the last 20 years as much as i do the 5N. Thing is a monster. Couple of years when it's dropped from its 67K (with the roof, as here) to somewhere nearer half that & I'll be getting one. It is sooooooo much fun to drive. And if you think it compares to a Tesla, well, I think you don't really get driving. A 5N would roast any Tessie around a track. Why torque vectoring tho?
@flashsushi18432 ай бұрын
@@purwantiallan5089 it's a natural evolution: ABS, TC, ESC, brake based torque vectoring and then torque vectoring. Torque vectoring is a technology that improves a vehicle's handling and stability by selectively distributing power between the two wheels on an axle. It works by applying more power to the outside wheel during a turn, which helps to rotate the vehicle and improve its cornering ability. Here are some of the benefits of torque vectoring: * Improved handling: Torque vectoring can help to reduce understeer and oversteer, making the vehicle more predictable and easier to control. * Increased stability: By applying power to the outside wheel, torque vectoring can help to stabilize the vehicle and prevent it from sliding or spinning. * Enhanced traction: Torque vectoring can help to improve traction on slippery surfaces, such as snow or ice. * Improved fuel efficiency: Torque vectoring can help to reduce fuel consumption by optimizing the power delivery to the wheels. * Enhanced driving experience: Torque vectoring can make the driving experience more engaging and enjoyable. Overall, torque vectoring is a valuable technology that can significantly improve a vehicle's performance and safety. It is becoming increasingly common in high-end vehicles, and it is likely to become even more widespread in the future.

No denying how fast it is, but nothing can replace the noise and feel of an ICE powertrain.

And nothing ever will sadly. Have had this fleeting feeling before but in tech. Like oldschool Walkmann phones I don't think any phone will ever be as cool as that era of phones. Or Sony MiniDisc technology, it was so futuristic at the time.

I love that first race. It's nice to know my car, an ev6gt, can beat the Lambo but looks a lot more like it than the much more homely i5n. Same motors. Tuned for more power. But nobody has pulled on me in almost 2 years of driving it.

Fantastic production best autotrader video to date😊 can help but think why don't car companies use the same chassis and offer different body styles, if it were a 2door coupe I would be more interested.

The issue I have, I can only speak for the Irish market... is that I would buy one today for 85-90k euros (which is a lot for this car..) a couple of months later it will be worth 40k

A huge well done to everyone involved in making this film. I was transported back to Sunday nights at 8pm and the Top Gear of old that we all so dearly miss. More like this please boy and girls 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Is the 5N only available with sunroof on right hand drive version? Doesn't seem like an option here in Norway

Looks amazing but wonder what the range is on this before it needs charging up?

I own 2 911s, an E92 M3, and an Elise S1. The 5N appeals a lot, but the issue remains that it will not get me to work and home again. Also, none of the cars I own have 4 or 5 doors. I don’t need that.

I drove the Tesla Model Y and Model 3 Performance back to back with Hyundai Ioniq 5N with my wife and daughter. We all love speed. All of us agreed that the Hyundai Ionic 5N is a much more planted on the road, it's a better drivers car, more composed at speed, with lest neck snapping speed from standstill compared to Tesla, but it covers speed at ease. What broke the deal for us and we decided to take the Tesla Model Y Performance instead is the ridiculously uncomfortable rear seats. They're like a wooden bench. My family felt their bottoms and backs aching just after 20 min test drive. I was heartbroken, but hats off to Hyundai for making amazing drivers car, wish it wouldn't have an Achilles heel, but it does, and a big one if you want to have anyone sit in the back for any amount of time. Please Hyundai, stop making rock hard seats in the rear, make them as comfortable as the front ones and you have a machine that does everything for a driver and for family.
