Autron vs Adtomic Amazon PPC Automation Review

Sharing our experience with both Autron and Adtomic for Amazon PPC Automation. This is not a deep dive into the software itself, but more a general idea of how things went for us when we used each of those platforms here at Helmet Flair.

Thanks for making this video! I also was totally underwhelmed by Adtomic and how they completely trashed my campaigns. I was really hesitant to try another tool, but after watching this, I think I'll give them a try to see what they can do with one ASIN before I set them loose on my whole catalog.

@@aymaneazzouz4892 I've been using them since Jan with various numbers of ASINs and will be canceling at the end of the month. I've tried a few different approaches with using them, but the best I've been able to get with my campaigns is about 27% ACOS, which is too high for me. I'll be taking those ASINs back to my old way of managing things. But my category is Handmade, which has it's own special challenges, so they might work better for people in more traditional categories.

@@xkwisitladyAround 30% is pretty much the standard. If you are getting 27% ACOS that is very good, especially handmade. It will always change depending on the market and what’s currently trending or what search terms are being used.

Hi, great video ! I see your Autron ads are "archived" so it mean you don't use autron anymore, why ? And what do you use now ? (i'm using Autron now but the acos they do is very very very high for the moment, so if you have more informations about how long does it take to reach the target acos with autron etc could be great)

We are still using Autron for our ad management. We're going to test going back to human-managed ads for a few months and compare the performance. We have about a $4k per month spend on ads through Autron and their monthly fee ends up being about $300 based on that spend. Human management is generally a bit more expensive, but it may result in more growth opportunities for us. We will see. The challenge with PPC management is the long time frame required to properly understand the performance of varying solutions. We are always learning and testing new stuff around here.

@@helmetflair Oh thanks for your answer ! And from your experience, how long does it take to reach the target ACOS with acos ? I still think Autron is very good for growth because you can add an infinite amount of products and they manage it. I can't manage 50 products on PPC (most of all, in Europe, you've to do that per country). So any review on the time to reach to ACOS goal ?

The system requires a few weeks to hit the ACOS goals. It's easy to freak out while it's learning because the ROAS starts out quite low. Take a deep breath and let the AI do its thing.@@valentinfinance

Sorry that this sat for a while. I've found that it takes a few weeks for Autron to hit an ACOS goal. It takes longer if you have it set open at first, then you try to bring in the spend for a higher ROAS. This time, when we turned the tool back on, I set the ROAS quite high and it started lower than I wanted, then caught up after a couple of weeks. It's been quite steady ever since.@@valentinfinance

Is that $100 total budget or $100 for each campaign which is over 100 campaigns. That is a scary number. I'd be afraid if some glitch happens and you could end up with thousands of dollars of PPC fees.

The campaigns never get close to that. I set the ROAS goal quite high and it will get there... it just needs some time to get some data gathered.

May I ask, are you still using Autron?

We are. And we are still happy with the results. It's the only set and forget it tool we've found for PPC ads on Amazon that actually works.

EXTREMELY different experience for us using Autron. We tested it for 3 weeks and saw our ACOS go from 40% to 482% - with ZERO sales attributed to Autron's ridiculous spend. Trash platform - Recommend other Amazon sellers to steer VERY clear.

Not sure if you brought this to Julian’s attention or not. When I had an issue, he was very quick to clarify things to ensure the tool worked how it’s supposed to.

After doing over a year on the platform now, I will say that the first few weeks is always quite bad on this system. It seems the AI needs some time to gather enough data to do an accurate job. Once it's cruising along, it really does quite well. We still feel that it's a great value and effective manager for ads.

We're not an affiliate. We're a product brand that uses this service. Can't say that it matters to me what you use for your PPC. I made this video to share my personal experience to make the choice easier because I found there was little info about this service compared to others.
