Our ‘Freedom Tour’ starts 6 May & the prospect of 8 weeks without a return to work, only carrying one phone, no emails or journalists, is strange but I think I’ll get used to the idea. Hi and thanks for the vlogs...very informative. We regularly use the Newhaven Dieppe crossing, are you aware that there's a 20% discount if you're over 60 but you have to book over the phone to get it, its all very easy and the staff are very helpful.

Many thanks for that Dean and we got our first 20% discount this year - didn't know about it last Autumn but do now. 60 is the new 30 :))

Excellent tour. Interesting spreadsheet and breakdown. We certainly don’t take advantage of our fixed costs by only being away for a month at a time. The average per day would fall significantly with an additional 2 weeks for example. Safe travels 😃👍🏻🚐 Trev

I am sure this has been asked before, but i cannot see it in any of the other costing videos. Is it possible that you could provide the spreadsheet itself as we are looking at buying a motorhome shortly and it would be nice to see all the figures and especially see the things we never thought about. Interesting data, honestly (yawn😂). Good to see that you do enjoy a bit of eating out to experience the French lifestyle as well as ‘eating in’. We do like the tunnel crossing (mostly courtesy of Tesco!) but note that you mentioned the Ferry is booked for the next trip, so take it that yo’ll use the Newhaven crossing again? Can I ask if the next trip is targeted at any particular area? (spoiler alert!)

Hahaha I’m glad I’m not keeping you awake Allan 😀 Yes French food is just too tempting isn’t it! Newhaven again Allan and with my youngsters discount (over 60) still beats the tunnel. Nothing too planned apart from The Alps by the end of April - night do German French border route to get there ☀️🚌

Great series guys and it has given me some great ideas for campsites, I'm off to France for 3 months next month and it can't come quick enough, the Verdalle campsite, did you have to phone or email to book it or did you just turn up? I'm definitely going to give that one a go
