Well I never see any point in not being open about things, we all blank and that is how it can be, so I do like to show or say about blanks as viewers can be lead to believe that every video is a good trip and no hard ones inbetween. You are correct about the beat too, many thanks again for tuning in.

Bait , tackle , watercraft all on the money as always Mark , good solid honest angling . You're use of liquid attractants is a game changer in your bait and free offerings and something I've used for a long time , your "waffling on" as you put it is giving everyone enough snippets of good solid information to work on/with , and when doing something a lil' different pays off it's so rewarding. You've again made a good readily available bait with a few tweaks a deadly bait ... Well done Mark ( keep "waffling on" fella ) .. Steve M

It's lovely to see the river Kennet in your videos, my dad taught me to fish there 30 years ago up at Thatcham civil service, I'll never forget the heart broken look and absolute sadness in him as the crayfish took over in the late 90s early 2000s, my dad never went back, he's in his 70s now and I still love his stories of the Kennet in the 1960s and 70s, some real monster barble in the Kennet and as a child I was so lucky to see some thanks to my dad. Lovely to see the Kennet and that your keeping safe, keep up the great videos me,my family and my dad love watching now I've set up KZbin for him in his house haha.

Will Thank you so much. That was very interesting to read about and there are many who have stopped fishing the river, but also i think more are returning to fish it which is good to see and of course some never stopped. I feel your father's pain regaridng how things have changed, I experienced this on the Loddon from the heady days to the current ones and the same for many rivers whereby you do have to put in more trips for the fish and they are more spread out or thinned out, but there are good fish to be had and maybe one day yourself and your father could take a trip back down memory lane for the sake old pleasures and maybe with the chance of a fish. It reminds me so much of myself and my dad, but he's now in a care home.

@hensleyshobbies-doug77613 жыл бұрын
I’ve used the live and frozen crayfish ( or crawdads as we call them here) , but just about everything that swims here loves crayfish and I have caught big Carp on them too, along with big catfish, Bass, etc.! But if you fish somewhere where Carp is the dominant species, then crayfish are absolutely deadly, generally though I’ve gone out and trapped crayfish or seined them, take them home and put them in a water tight container of some kind, put them in lively and no water on them, snap the lid on and put them in the freezer, and when you’re ready to fish, take one crayfish hook one through the tail just once, and generally under a float, and leave it frozen or at least partially frozen, it will thaw in the water but something about that frozen crayfish it drives the big carp bonkers. That’s just a little tip of what I do with crayfish ( crawdads)! I’d bet those barbel would eat crayfish too.., wouldn’t you think?

Hi mark great video yet again. If i may ask a question, how do you prepare the birdfeed? Do you boil like hemp etc?
@francolinobasco5 ай бұрын
I soak the seed overnight, and then boil it for 20 to 30 minutes so that much of the water is reduced. I then cover it in a bucket with plenty more hot water and pop lid on and leave to expand more over night ,be sure to fully re hydrate it and bring to boil then simmer for 30 before that. Remember to use a large enough barrel or bucket so that you can use enough water. A baby burco is useful if making large amounts, although i generally just use a large pressure cooker saucepan or 2 and then when done put in bucket and cover with more hot water,seal and leave over night to steam itself more.

Spotlight has 4 output levels and floodlight has 3. at maximum brightness which is turbo mode you will get 2 hours but on medum and high what i use the most you will get 22 hours on high with 100 metre range and 48 hours on medium and 57 metres distance. head bands very comfortable and has a nice soft silicon tubing which stops it from slipping around. it also comes with 5 years of free repair warranty. Edit (Ignore me. Found them) Good morning. Do you have a link to the hooks at all? Always keen to try new patterns, brands and know that you wouldn't use anything that's poor quality or unreliable.

Sorry for the delay in repplying Ben. they are HLS Tackle but have put their prices up a bit since, still very good hooks though.
