Robert you make a couple of old people very glad you are getting out and about . We have traveled that route you are showing since 1962... as teens , parents, grand parents and great grandparents .. love to see you so excited to see sights we remember from 60 years ago ... Boy it does not seem that long ago... as soon as COVID settles a bit we will be back on the road ... We enjoy , my wife and me watching all your trips .. fun fact we were in California in 2018 the same time you were there. We may have passed on the road . If you ever get back to California ... , head to a little town called CAMBRIA on the sea just next to the Hearst Castle...💪💪💪

Fantastic video!!! One of your very best ever.😁 The summer weather in upstate NY is unpredictable. Some summers it's heavy rain and cold other summers hot and more hot. I spent my summers there every year as a kind and teenager, I remember well the kind of rainy days that you ran into. Some summers there were barley 10 weeks of summer, then it rain even during that time as well. God forbid you ever go in the winter. Lol 😁

An exceptional episode of "Travelling Robert". Reminds me of my trip to Niagara Falls, almost 25 years ago. I spent all of my time on the Canadian side of the falls. However, I am overdue for a trip to the American side. Letchworth Canyon reminds me of Little River Canyon in Alabama. Greetings from Washington state!! :)

Hey Robert, thanks for another great video. Having been to the Niagara Falls over a dozen times you have managed to show me areas around the falls I didn't even think about checking out and seeing, so appreciate all that you do because I always keep learning about new places to visit in the future. It's unfortunate you had such bad weather visiting Letchworth State Park. I would highly recommend that you revisit there during the fall when the leaves start to change colors. If you're lucky with the weather the views are fantastic so consider revisiting around mid-October time frame.

I went to Niagara Falls 2 years ago when I went to PA. to see my daughter and grandson. We took a day to go which was not to far from where they lived. I was at the Falls back in 1957 when I was a teenager. We lived just across the river from New York City. My father was working in NYC at the time. We took a vacation and went to all the north east state and the Falls and then we crossed over in to Canada and come back down throught Michigan and back to Tennessee to see our family. We had a great time traveling around. I hope you and your family have a blessed 2022. I watch your videos alot and enjoy seeing all the places you go.

I just noticed on today’s video that you have added chapters-a welcome addition. This makes it much quicker to find sections that I want to view again. Thanks for taking me back to Niagara Falls again. My visit was entirely on the Canadian side and my visit was in April the time I visited and there was still ice in the river. Your view across Lake Ontario was much more spectacular than mine was. All I saw was lake from the Toronto side lol! The Letchworth area was very spectacular and I don’t know if you realize that the new rail bridge that is there was a replacement of a bridge which was built in 1875. It would have been pretty cool to have seen the old bridge there! I guess I will have to find my way back to Niagara Falls again one day soon!

Nice to ride shotgun with you in upper New York in this episode. Is that a WWII Lancaster Bomber that we get a quick glimpse of early in the video? I would love to check that out. Now, about all those steps back up to the top of the Ridge Trail--according to AllTrails, the elevation gain is 625". I think you should look at that as a tiny training opportunity for your future Grand Canyon and Mt. Whitney hikes ;-) Have a great holiday and thanks for all the videos this year!

Nice work Robert. That's a LOT of video editing but you captured Letchworth pretty well. I was just there today coincidentally. You forgot to mention that Letchworth was picked as the #1 state park in the nation in a USA Today poll some years ago, and that most of the stone structures, bridges, etc., were built by CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) workers during the Great Depression. I know you're on to Watkins Glen which was rated, I believe, the #3 state park in the nation in that same USA Today poll. I'm looking forward to your video of that park as well. I was there just a week ago.

It goes along the Buffalo river, through the grain silos and back out into the mouth of the river to Lake Erie, just past the lighthouse. Also it was awesome you mentioned the Sabres and Bandits! There is also the Buffalo Zoo where they have all kinds of different animals. Niagara Falls is beautiful. I've been there a few times, and I've been to Fort Niagara once. Keep up the great work, Robert! Loving your videos!!

Travelling Robert. Thx for your vids. I'm wondering why some say the Canadian side is better? It seems the US side is better comparing your 2013 and 2021 videos. That being said, I haven't seen personally both sides though I'm guessing it's because the Canadian side has more other attractions aside from the falls and nature.

Thanks for the video. I was in Lewiston, my hometown, the weekend you were there in August, 2021. I see you missed the Art Festival and also a nicer spot for dinner at the Riverside Inn right on the river. My visit was for a High school reunion of 40 years. Great presentation of the area. Even though I grew up there, and live in PA now, watching people discover the area I was blessed to live for a long period of my youth is still nice for me to see. Went to college in Rochester and have been to Letchworth a number of times.
